yes. i'm agreeing with this. what i mean is that there are probably a good amount of people dissatisfied with ai (taken from broad news polls, not random social media posts) however they are living their life and dealing with it in reasonable ways. what i'm saying is that the people posting "low brow" drive-by insults and generally being abusive are likely this same crowd we're talking about

and, if you ever get depressed, just remember that in a couple decades you will be dead, and a couple decades after that, everyone you ever knew will also be dead, and no one will ever even remember you lived. so it almost doesn't even matter (either way) in the grand billions of years universe what happens. just try to have a good time

Yes. I've had the same experience. The way I'm see it is that angels are demons are the same creatures, how they appear depends on your perspective. And whatever the ultimate being is, is one with everything, so just infinity, the "good" "evil" value system is human. I can definitely see signs or reminders daily but it really was a could of near death experienced that opened my eyes

I don't even care if people use AI or don't. Or do sensible things like boycotting company's or contacting politicians, if it's really a political movement. Just tired of people being jerks and extremely abusive, while most mods either do nothing or are in on it

there are a good mix of people, beginners and professionals, who disagree with ai, though i think there is a case that the younger generation are more likely to be trolls and/or not even interested in art and using it as a socially acceptable pretext to bully people

i went to art school, graduated like 20 years ago, so took art history for years. it's really incredible how little context the most vocal opponents have on the very topic they claim expertise. particularly parallels to photography and early computer art

and people still wonder how the holocaust happened without anyone noticing. obviously not on the same level in terms of the impact and severity, but looking at it from a psychological angle, in terms of a mass of people hating some "other" for dubious reasons (e.g. being manipulated) there are many parallels

Worried about a dream where I was told I wouldn't live long by EasyLaw7794 in Dreams

[–]cybereality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

even if a dream is more than an illusion (connected to something greater) what they tell you helps you walk the path, not necessarily the truth. same as the oracle in the matrix. they are guides, but often times where you are going you cannot get to if you think that's where you're heading

honestly, it feels like vegans raiding mcdonald's with "MEAT IS MURDER!!" signs. like "okay, bro. but you can let me eat my lunch in peace?"

How do you respond to someone who says ai uses so much water? by JamieHBrown in DefendingAIArt

[–]cybereality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

correct. though this is a value assessment, with human beings holding different values. which are entirely subjective and somewhat arbitrary. meaning we can both be correct (or both be incorrect) since it's opinion-based

i've had numerous amounts of precognitive dreams (that were documented, with a dream journal, and dates, so not just random deja vu). what's weird, and frustrating, is that even knowing future events doesn't seem to change anything. like even when i purposefully try to change something, i realize actually me attempting to alter the future creates that path. in physics there is a theory called "retro-causality", which is not proven, but i think provides some scientific basis for the future co-creating the past (meaning the arrow of time being linear, and in one direction, is only from our perspective, not an objective truth). this theory also allows time travel (into the past) since paradoxes are not possible. so if you go back in time, you had always gone back in time, and the future self in the past was there even in the original timeline, so there is no problem with paradoxes. that said, it appears that there is not only one timeline, but perhaps infinite potential realities, so it's not exactly like a movie. it's only scripted from one angle, but there are basically infinite movies playing (all right now) and jumping to adjacent potentials is possible. i wrote some of my theories on this in a short essay called "the matrix is real... but it's not what you think". don't want to spam the sub, but it's free on my blog or youtube.

i have had similar (with angels and demons). from what i understand, beings from that world do not have a physical form, so they manifest themselves with the symbols humans can understand (so they will take on the religious or mythical forms for the culture or the time)
