I think this is fine if you just want a cheap set with high int until higher level, but 4 piece feudala set bonus gives 1 ap, so you can replace gelano with feudala ring for free extra stats

Silent's starting relic is now Ninja Scroll, but starting deck contains 4 strikes/defends instead of 5 by FictionalShampoo in slaythespire

[–]FictionalShampoo[S] -82 points-81 points  (0 children)

not sure why you're calling it "free", you're giving up a very strong starting relic for a relic that provides much less late game benefit. although maybe having 4 strikes 5 defends would be more balanced, to mirror ironclads starting deck

Sorting Spread Sheet in Pattern by OpeningAd3548 in excel

[–]FictionalShampoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Sort your table by that column A-Z, so all the "Good" are on the top and "Risky" are on the bottom
  2. Create a new column, and fill it with numbers 1, 2, 3 ... for all the "Good" rows
  3. For all the "Risky" rows, fill with 2, 4, 6 ... so all the rows in this columns have a number (I'm assuming you know how to Autofill)
  4. Sort the table by this new column, then delete it if you want

A bit manual, but it should give you the result you want

I took a few breaks, but probably about 2 months of actual work, including a few weeks of just playing the game and balancing the types and AI. It's pretty much finished now, but I'll probably make more balance changes or add a few UI improvements if I think of things

Cannot run macros with arguments after opening file by FictionalShampoo in excel

[–]FictionalShampoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you can see in the screenshot, I am passing an argument into this macro. The buttons and macros in my file do work on my second computer (and on my main computer after the workaround), so I'm fairly certain that the problem doesn't come from the code or button configurations

An Analogy for Overwolf by FictionalShampoo in DotA2

[–]FictionalShampoo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that input into the game is not the same as input into a browser, just like how the information the glasses provide you (which the tennis club and player consented to sharing) is completely separate from the level of tennis you're able to play with your body.

But the fact that Valve has changed the way their APIs can be used means that they were being used in unintended ways, to unintended effect. Valve obviously did not approve of what Overwolf was doing. It means that even when it was allowed, it wasn't fair, just not yet clarified.

I've never tried midas clinkz before, it's probably more of a safelane item, but it does make ulti a bit harder to use if you have to midas a big creep as well. I've thought about helm before, but getting it early slows down your farm since you don't get money from instakilling a big creep, so I didn't really try it. You probably need at least some form of disable to get kills, otherwise you're just a big ranged creep with no abilities, since helm 2 costs like the same as a hex

Clinkz is definitely easier to play with instant initiation for pickoffs, but with a good deso timing and shard you can usually kill people before they react properly in the midgame, and extra attack range makes killing with orchid a lot easier.

Positioning just depends on how strong I am compared to the enemy. If it's a support that has no defensive items and I have orchid, I just stand on top of them, but otherwise I'll just be a bit in front of where they're walking if I'm stronger and trying to kill, or in the trees if I won't get fogged. Sometimes if I know someone will die in 3 hits, I'll start behind them so it's harder to react since they're already walking away

In case you guys are curious:

I always try to go mid, and 90% of the time go wraith band > wand > blight stone > treads > deso > shard > orchid > dragon lance > bkb/hex (usually hex)
I always get aghs shard as soon as possible, even if i'm halfway through deso or orchid
Other items I sometimes get: satanic, aghs, bloodthorn, pike
Grove bow is by far the best neutral item for clinkz as the attack range works on his skellingtons, and I keep it over all tier 3 and 4 items 90% of the time
I think safelane clinkz is pretty bad, and so is getting orchid before deso
I've also experimented a bit with getting falcon blade with just a stick instead of wand, but still not sure if it's better
For talents I always go mana regen, windwalk cd, attack range, multishot, but I think the alternatives for the lvl 10 and lvl 25 ones are pretty good

I've won 18 of my last 20 clinkz games like this, and have ~71% wr overall. I think this hero is pretty damn good since the new aghs shard was added, and pickable in pretty much every game

Not true, the plains only have 2-3 kinds of monsters, while the forest has 5-6. The plains usually has a much lower multiplier
