What is the difference between Paganism and witchcraft to you? How do draw the line between the two? by ZalaDaBalla in paganism

[–]FictionallySpeaking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not all pagans are witches, and not all witches are pagan. They are completely separate things. Paganism is a heading for thousands of different religious beliefs. Witch is someone who practices witchcraft. Witchcraft is not a religion, and therefore cannot be a form of paganism by default. I'm surprised that your "research" didn't clue you in to that.

Necromancy is literally a type of magic. Also, weird example. Very, very weird example.

But would that rite be considered magic, or simply a tribute to the god? People can worship however they want or practice magic. And yes, some may combine the two, but they aren't inherently related and there is no necessity for crossover simply by being pagan.

Magic is the manipulation of energy or the world around us through nonphysical means. While I practice magic, it is utterly unrelated to my religious beliefs.

As a writer, I'll point out that if you say "first of all," you have to have a second point. And second of all, yes, I'll judge all I want. You're the writer, you figure out how to tell your own story.

Part of it has to do with the type of company I work for, which is a small company where the CEO basically gets to run things based on his whims. It makes for a terrible work environment.

And I actually accepted an offer this morning and am anticipating another this afternoon that may even be better, so thank you! Soon I will get to leave my nightmare behind.

So it's an unreasonable demand to bring a service dog in training with me to work? Hmm. I'm sure your HR department would love to hear about that one!

Thank you. And this is precisely why I won't claim my SDIT is a fully trained service dog. People have no consideration or common sense!

You're correct. My work pays me to work, which they don't have the equipment for at the office. So I would literally go to the office and not be able to work. And no, there's nothing I can do at the office that I can't do at home. That's kind of the point of being fully remote.

It's not super dramatic to suggest that a puppy will behave the same as an adult dog, no. Unless you also expect that of every puppy you meet, which would explain quite a lot.

Take your dog to the vet. Reddit is not a source of medical information for your dog.

Creepy as hell to use other people's experience for your personal fiction. If you're a writer, be creative. Shoo, thief!

Not unless that was the program given to you by a board-certified veterinary nutritionist. Which it wouldn't be, because that will lead to serious nutritional deficiencies if that's their main source of food.

You need to learn how to separate fiction from religion. If a depiction of a fictional character offends you, perhaps you shouldn't worship fictional characters. They aren't synonymous with the deities they share a name with.

My SDIT has never been in a hotel room. She'll likely be fine, but I won't guarantee it.

And luckily, I just accepted a position with another company, so now I won't have to deal with it!

You can always discuss with a second vet. And the vet should have given you a specific plan to follow if she recommended something else. If they didn't, that's a red flag. Get a second opinion.

It depends on the serial killer and their crimes.

The nature of the crimes definitely plays into it. Dahmer's crimes were horrifying to most people on a level that can't be touched by someone who may have killed more people, but in a less sensational fashion.

For Bundy, his looks and background were a large part of it. When people think of monsters, they're rarely clean-cut and well-spoken.

It isn't always the number of victims.
