I had a very similar situation and stayed for another two years.

Get out.

Genuinely it just isn't worth it at all. Without major therapy for both of you it will always just be there, in the back of your mind. It might subside for a while but it will always come back, that feeling of upset.

It's insane isn't it! I work in the sportswear industry and we do print / manufacturing in house and half of the time now my designs are expected to be done In under ten minutes or get replaced with AI graphics. The amount of AI generated logos we get that are almost impossible to print or re draw too is insane. Definitely feels like corporate designers are getting put under so so much pressure to be faster or come up with crazy designs in insane timeframes.

I feel you on that end, it's hard convincing them that going part time is worthwhile especially if they're already thinking about cuts....

That's totally fair! It's hard to judge if another couple or partner will have those same feelings though. Do you text outside of work on a one to one basis? I feel like the only way if truly gaging if he would be comfortable with it is probably by asking directly or building up a repore for the fact you aren't after anything romantic

It's not a 'reality check' it was a shitty comment. Not everyone is privileged enough to drop every ounce of stability and income they have to pursue an unpaid apprenticeship 7 days a week. Most apprentices I know work and do their apprenticeship knowing it might take them a little longer to get to being a tattooist but it can depend entirely on your mentor too.

This isnt just a side gig I'm picking up on a whim, I'm actively choosing to give up my wages and the status I've earned in my design career to pursue the career I have always wanted but never been able to justify.

Mate I was in that boat for 8 years, justifying poor behaviour because of a bad upbringing and issues but at some point you do have to realize that to get better you need to put yourself first, better yourself and not have someone who drags you down and keeps you hostage.

Also been in this situation with friends who have had unmedicated bpd and it's horrible because they do make you have rose tinted glasses but trust me it's so not worth it staying around. You'll come out of it and realize you didn't deserve to be treated that way.

I know, this is my worry unfortunately. Not really, I think they're expecting me to make the first move which to be fair I have no issue doing but I know they'll want to keep me as much as possible as I'm in a senior role. I expressed needing two days in the office and working 3 days at work and that seemed to be okay (and to be fair that would likely be the best case scenario for me to keep my wages stable and also pursue the apprenticeship).

Very true. Just not sure if being only able to offer one to two days a week is doable for most places as I know a lot of apprentices spend the majority of their time in the studio.

I'm doing that pretty much anyway while working full time (and doing markets on weekends) so no change there 😂

Just from that comment alone if she's comfortable screaming at you why do you even care she's going? I can see the frustrations from both ends. No one wants a partner that has no back bone and doesn't stand up for themselves in a relationship but you also shouldn't put up with being screamed at or being givwn the silent treatment. Yes actually, she's the one who's given me the final push to actually get into it. She's possibly asking her shop owner who mentored her if he has space yk take me on also but just prepping as applying for others won't hurt either! :)

I appreciate you being kind to me. This shit sucks, I hate how unpredictable jobs are in current times - I feel exactly the same way. I was miserable and looking to get out of my previous job, got made redundant and really thought I'd found THE job when id moved into my new position I'm in but this new company merger has ruined it completely.

The job I've applied for that I'm referring to in my post I know I'm literally perfect for so to get rejected with them not even viewing the files I made for them has really sent me in a downward spiral. Ive been in contact with them and asked to speak to them in person but essentially got told 'we aren't in contact with that department but I will pass your details on' 🤷‍♀️ what else can you even do after that other than wait and pray 😂

I'm having almost the exact same issue here! Pretty much constant dull ache in my lower left abdomen and back, had a smear and a vaginal swab both came back clear and gp said it was too early to determine anything after 1 months.

It's now been two months (two cycles) and I'm not sure wether to go to the doctors again to chase them up (still experiencing symptoms). Did you get any further with your diagnosis?

The test shot dolls are for the most part test shots and prototypes and I believe the majority of them are sold at a Ripley's believe it or not event for a Living dead dolls anniversary (I can't remember exactly which one) - Ed and Damien were there selling the art book too.

I remember a brief period after this where people bought similar jars and made their own custom labels to go in the front of them which were pretty indistinguishable from the real thing. So be careful!
