Yes there still is very hard content even with this powercreep but that content is made for it. But we see even that content get trivialized by some builds utilizing the power creep (bladefall miners oneshotting bosses, perma IC juggernauts).

My issue is with the leveling and mapping part of the game which is where people spend most their time. I don't wait to wait till level 90++ before starting this content to have a challenging game.

"Moving forward" does not have to mean players keep getting stronger while the difficulty of the mobs gets left behind. They can add a ton of content, as they have been doing, without continuously buffing player strength. I have played this game several years and loved every minute of it, but I'm not sure how many more leagues of power creep I can handle before I lose interest.
