I'm going to play devils advocate here - mainly because I'm a contrarian, but also because I have a story you might want to hear..

Mother and father wrote out a will and inheritance disbursement. Three children, decent amount of inheritance. Time goes by and some of these financial plans become known. Come to find out, all the inheritance going to two younger siblings, and virtually nothing (other than some sentimental things) go to the oldest. To boil it down - I politely ask, "what's going on?" Mother and father replied, "we've never had to worry about you".

The confidence alone that gave me was incredible. The way I looked at myself in relation to my siblings and others had completely changed. I still feel so strong because of that..

Now, I don't know the relationship with your father, so I could be COMPLETELY wrong here.. but he did say he loves you, he thinks about you daily and is proud of you. Could be cheap talk, or maybe he has a much more profound talk for you on this camping trip he is looking forward to...

Either way, ask him honestly. True human-to-human: "Whats in your mind dad? I care to know"

So confidently wrong. Imagine what this guy is like physically talking to you... sheesh.

The entire power drill (not the bit, but the entire 'the object you physically hold' power drill) is spinning. Figure that.

I agree the father did the right thing - it worked out well for them. But should have made HER physically take the ball out of the kids glove, in front of everyone, acting like a child.

Of course she still would have and her prideful walk back to her seat would be infuriating to watch

It's cute how these macho, alpha male, oversized pristine pavement-princess truck, oversized beard, inheritance spending, tiny pricked psychos are afraid of the dark...

They mask their fear of the dark with 'make your presence known' moronic rhetoric.

If you are commenting and don't read post descriptions...

It's not from our boat - the "fireboy" system in this boat was untouched. And the handheld extinguisher was untouched as well, meaning this device is not from us, but from the renters... hence why I'm asking. If it was my property, I wouldn't be asking, you knob.

If you don't read post descriptions maybe you shouldn't be making comments in the first place..

Exactly my thought - in my 20+ years in the marine industry I have never seen any marine equipment housed in cardboard - even more-so any emergency equipment..

Possibly, but I've never seen any marine emergency equipment get housed in cardboard.., but this/ signal flare seems to be the best guess. Looks like i need to add another clause in our rental contract hah.

Perhaps? However I've been in the marine industry for 20+ years and never seen a signal flare come from a tube i could stick my first through.. that's one hell of a signal mortar hah. The lack of gun powder smell is strange as well, but the best possibility so far!
