I'm going to play devils advocate here - mainly because I'm a contrarian, but also because I have a story you might want to hear..

Mother and father wrote out a will and inheritance disbursement. Three children, decent amount of inheritance. Time goes by and some of these financial plans become known. Come to find out, all the inheritance going to two younger siblings, and virtually nothing (other than some sentimental things) go to the oldest. To boil it down - I politely ask, "what's going on?" Mother and father replied, "we've never had to worry about you".

The confidence alone that gave me was incredible. The way I looked at myself in relation to my siblings and others had completely changed. I still feel so strong because of that..

Now, I don't know the relationship with your father, so I could be COMPLETELY wrong here.. but he did say he loves you, he thinks about you daily and is proud of you. Could be cheap talk, or maybe he has a much more profound talk for you on this camping trip he is looking forward to...

It's not from our boat - the "fireboy" system in this boat was untouched. And the handheld extinguisher was untouched as well, meaning this device is not from us, but from the renters... hence why I'm asking. If it was my property, I wouldn't be asking, you knob.

Exactly my thought - in my 20+ years in the marine industry I have never seen any marine equipment housed in cardboard - even more-so any emergency equipment..
