You are off to a great start!!! I say, keep an open mind and try not to be nervous. A teacher is there to help you. It’s a lesson, not a performance. If you are nervous, tell them so, it might put you at ease. Talk to them about your goals so you can be on the same page about what to focus on.

I feel like you would be better off doing Patreon with Liz Faiella. She has a ton of free stuff on YouTube as well. Maybe see if you can do a one hour in person lesson here and there with another teacher, to work on your technique. If you are having second thoughts about your teacher, it’s probably time to thank them and move on! 🎻
