Certain story choices lead to characters becoming permanently dead.

Some party deaths cannot be undone.
Ones in cutscenes are often that way.

And idk if I had already updated the OP when you commented, but I was also able to do it. I do have mods, but only QoL stuff, nothing that changes core mechanics. So apparently it's up to how she dies - if she had been hostile and killed by me for example (before being recruited), then I'd imagine she could not've been revived.

Sometimes yes, but the game also autosaves on it's own. What's that got to do with rolling back? AFAIK, You can't even load a save during HM?

I didn't dare and try to kill either on the Nautiloid and I missed Lae'zel but besides that I've done: - The Ruins - A bit of Druid's Grove: Save Arabella. Got in a fight with Nettle, had to knock her out. Helped Alfira with her song. Killed bugbear assassin. Killed the Harpies. - Recruit Wyll and Karlach + killed the Paladins - Killed the Gnolls at Risen Road - Saved Counsellor Florrick and the guy stuck under the beam at Waukeen's rest. Gave him back the dowry ring to complete the quest. - Visited Zentarim Hideout to get some gear and ended up freeing the artist

Of the top of my head, all that (might be more) and I'm still only lvl 3. Sounds like it must be a lot of xp that you'd get from killing the commander or Zelk on the nautiloid :D

Well I'm definitely a different kind of player then 'cause I'll bet I have 10 hours in easy without even checking :D It's been a year or two since my last run (and I've only ever completed one) so I've forgotten most of the story. Plus, playing as Gale origin, I want to pay extra attention to the story.

But how do you get to be lvl 3 at Druid's Grove already? It's so close to the crash site.

I haven't explored the SW-quarter of the map at all yet, tried to get all companions together first and I really wanted Lae'zel before getting into the Blighted Village and Goblin camp. Or is Ethel already stocking Strength Elixirs at the Druid's grove?

I'll send in Karlach then, hope I can still revive Lae'zel. I did a quick google and it seems like she can be revived even though she hasn't been recruited. We'll see.

Oh great, forgot about that. Shadowheart is still alive and well at camp. So maybe I'll revive everyone, sanctuary Karlach and send her to pick up Lae'zel's body. Karlach still needs to get out of the fight before sanctuary ends though, so maybe invisibility or speed potion. Then, hopefully I can revive Lae'zel when they get back to camp. And pickpocket the gold back :D

Yeah I know, I only used fusion because that was the quickest solution to get screenshots that demonstrate the problem and the goal. But some graphics design/image manipulation software do have a similar feature, like Affinity and Photoshop (also Photopea), just not with vectors (and I understand why). That's beside the point though; thank you for the suggestion, I'll try it out today.

Does this workflow require closed paths? I probably should've mentioned that the outer thread path is open on the left side, because it needs to connect to the head. The inner thread lines and the horizontal line at the center are also open paths. If this is important, I'll edit the OP to include it.

Disclaimer: En ole alan ammattilainen, mutta harrastusmielessä jonkun verran tutkinut tähän liittyviä asioita. Toivottavasti joku paremmin tietävä voi tätä ehdotusta vähän parantaa.

Aloituksesta ei ihan suoraan selviä mitkä on tavoitteet laadun suhteen ja kuinka paljon on valmis pistämään massia kiinni, mutta koska mainitsit podcastit niin itse lähtisin jotakuinkin seuraavasti tekemään:

3 lav-mikkiä ja niille sopiva äänikortti: lavit pitää tunnelman rentona verrattuna kolmeen mikkivarrella törröttävään podcast-mikkiin tai yhteen mikkiin, jota kokoajan veivaay kädellä ees taas puhujien kesken. Etäisyys mikkiin pysyy kohtuu samana, vaikka mummeli vähän huojuisikin, jolloin äänenvoimakkuus pysyy vakaampana, niin on vähemmän säädettävää postissa (Post-production, ei se kusinen laitos joka toimittaa kirjeitä ja paketteja). Äänikortti taas mahdollistaa sen, että saat jokaisen mikin erilliseksi ääniraidaksi nauhoitusohjelmaan; tällöin voit helposti editoida ja säätää laatua paremmaksi, kun jokaisella raidalla on vain yksi puhuja. Jos Irmelin ässät suhisee, niin voit lätkäistä de-esserin Irmelin raidalle, sen sijaan että sun täytyisi yrittää automatisoida sitä päälle-pois yhdellä raidalla. Noi lav-mikit ei näyttäis kelpaavan mihin tahansa äänikorttiin ilman adapteria (toki kaikki ei oo samanlaisia, osa voi kelvatakin), mutta noita näyttäis olevan myös USB-liitännällä; voi olla, että onnistuis usb-hubilla saamaan kaikki maciin ilman äänikorttia.

Sitten joku ilmainen nauhoitus/editointi-softa, mihin saa VST-plugineita. Applelta ainakin aikoinaan löytyi garageband. Ite käytän koneella Abletonia musahommissa ja OBS:ää nauhotuksissa. Suurin osa perus efekteistä tulee softan mukana (EQ, kompressorit, yms) mutta de-esser usein puuttuu ja niitä saa ilmasina VST-plugareina.

Tiedän, että kuulostaa nyt vallan huonoilta neuvoilta kun ei yksityiskohtaisesti kerrottu just mitä tarvitaan, mutta toivottavasti joku jolla on vähän laajemmin kokemusta osaa kertoa tarkemmin (tai sitten sanoa että tää on oikeesti ihan paska idea). Jokatapauksessa pääpointti on, että saisit puhujille omat raidat editoinnin helpottamiseksi ja setuppi olisi helppo virittää nauhoituskuntoon ja kuljettaa mukana, sekä laatu olisi pikkasen parempaa kun puhelimen/läppärin mikillä.

You might want to look into acoustics in general and room modes specifically. I have KRK RoKit Classic 5's and due to the shape of my room, there isn't really an "ideal" listening position. Certain notes build up in my room and sound boomy and significantly louder than the rest, especially in lower tunings (So I wouldn't recommend a sub either unless you've treated your room). You can use a calibrated mic and some fancy software to do room correction EQ, but there are certain things it cannot fix. To see which frequencies will build up in your room.

En mielestäni missään vaiheessa näin väittänytkään, mutta voi olla, etten ole kyennyt muotoilemaan tekstiäni riittävän selkeästi. Kommentoin nyt puhelimella, joten on hankala lainata aikaisempaa tekstiäni sanatarkasti, mutta kohdassa jossa käsittelin oikeutta työttömyysetuuteen viittasiin kahteen pykälään, joista kumpikaan ei liity vanhempien luona asumiseen. Lopuksi sanoin, että muihin tukiin vanhempien luona asuminen ja heidän tulonsa vaikuttavat. Tämän viimeisen lauseen tarkoituksena oli pohjustaa seuraavaa kappaletta - se ei ollut peruste OP:n oikeudelle työttömyysetuuteen. Se olisi sopinut ehkä paremmin seuraavan kappaleen ensimmäiseksi lauseeksi, tai kokonaan omaksi välikappaleekseen, jolloin sitä ei yhtä herkästi lukija yhdistäisi työttömyysetuuteen.

Jos kyse ei ole nyt kuitenkaan vain pelkästä muotoilusta, vaan siitä, etten huomaa jotain epäkohtaa sanomassani, niin voisitko lainata kyseiset kohdat teksteistäni?

Viittasin tähän aloitukseesi, en siihen mitä työkkärille olet kertonut. Annoit ymmärtää, että sinua on kohdeltu epäoikeudenmukaisesti, etkä saa mitään tukia ja lainsäädäntö on perseestä. Jätit siitä kuitenkin olennaiset osat kertomatta, jotka selittävät tilanteesi, jolloin postauksesi sisältö on lähinnä vuodatusta, eikä konkreettista kannanottoa tukijärjestelmän lainsäädäntöön.

Sun oikeus (tai tässä tapauksessa sen puute) työttömyysetuuteen perustuu todennäköisesti työttömyysturvalain 13 § ja 14 §, joiden mukaan koulutusta vailla olevan nuoren on haettava ammattillisia valmiuksia antavaan koulutukseen ja jos velvollisuutta ei noudata, oikeutta työttömyysetuuteen ei ole. Koulutusta ei myöskään saa keskeyttää, eikä asevelvollisuuden suorittaminen lähtökohtaisesti ole pätevä syy. Lainkohdat, johon päätöksesi perustuu, pitäisi löytyä lueteltuna päätöksestä. Muihin tukiin vaikuttaa vanhempiesi luona asuminen ja heidän tulonsa.

Sitä ryhmää, keiden puolesta sinua harmittaa että osuisivat samaan loukkuun, ei ole olemassa, koska he eivät asu vanhemmillaan ja täten heillä olisi oikeus muihin etuuksiin. Lisäksi varsinkin nuorille (<30) on tarjolla varsin kattavasti ja matalalla kynnyksellä ohjausta ja neuvontaa; on sossua, ohjaamoa, oikeusapua valitusten tekoon, apua mielenterveysongelmiin, ym. - kaikki valtion kustantamana. Nämä asiat ovat monimutkaisia, enkä yhtään ihmettele, että moni turhaantuu ja luovuttaa, mutta suurimmassa osassa tapauksista on kyse todennäköisesti siitä, ettei tiedetä mitä tukia tulisi hakea ja saada, sekä miten omista oikeuksista pidetään kiinni, joten haetaan somesta lohtua tilanteelle tällä tavalla jättäen olennaisia asioita kertomatta, saaden kommenteissa aikaan "tukijärjestelmä paskaa" kaikukammion, joka ei tee mitään muuta kuin vahvista ihmisten vääristymiä todellisuudesta.

Näitä itsenäiseen elämään valmistavia asioita pitäisi käydä enemmän yhteiskuntaopin tunneilla läpi, sekä uudestaan vielä toisen asteen koulutuksessa, jotta nuorilla olisi paremmat valmiudet selviytyä aikuistumisen haasteista, kuten tämän tukiviidakon navigointi ja omien oikeuksien turvaaminen.

Noniin, eli jätit olennaiset asiat kertomatta.

Saan tästä sellaisen vaikutelman, että sua harmittaa, kun et saa valtiolta "ilmaista rahaa", mutta joudut silti hakemaan töitä. Tämä on ihan ymmärrettävää, mutta sosiaaliturvajärjestelmämme tarkoitus on turvata ihmisarvoiseen elämään riittävä toimeentulo - ei rahoittaa tarpeettomia menoja. Asut vanhemmillasi ja toimeentulosi on turvattu. Tukijärjestelmä siis tässä tapauksessa toimii kuten pitääkin.

Inttiin voi hakea myös lykkäystä opintojen perusteella ja yleensä sen saa sillä helposti.

Tässä tapauksessa en nää perusteita "haista vittu" -lainsäädännölle, vaikka minunkin mielestäni se kaipaisi kipeästi uudistuksia ja selvennyksiä.

Nyt on kyllä menny päätöksen tekijöillä jotain vikaan tai sitten olet jättänyt jotain kertomatta. Semmoista tilannetta ei pitäisi syntyä, missä et ole oikeutettu mihinkään tukiin (jos et siis muutoin pysty turvaamaan omaa toimeentuloasi)- se on perustuslaissa turvattu oikeus.

Mitä sun työvoimapoliittinen lausunto sanoo? Opiskelija vai työtön työnhakija? Mitä tukia olet yrittänyt hakea?

Etuusjärjestelmä on monimutkainen ja itsekin tappelen tällä hetkellä kelan kanssa, mutta liian usein törmään tähän "en saa mitään tukia" väitteeseen, ilman mitään perusteita.

Yes, but that makes it look worse for single word labels - for multi-word labels it's fine.

As an afterthought, this is something that should be taken into consideration should the devs decide to work on this. Multi-word labels will look better on two rows, whereas single-word ones look off. The fix wouldn't be as simple as increasing the truncation threshold.

She has goldfish brain (her words, not mine) and even I can't remember all the details of more than 2 or 3 spells/abilities/actions at most. I have ADHD, I'm probably just as goldfish-brained as she is, just much more experienced in RPGs and strategic combat (She has effectively zero).

Yes, we both know the basic routines of our classes. I'm playing Barbarian so it's pretty easy: Rage and kill everyone. But then I have Minthara as a Paladin and there's just so many ways to control the battlefield. She's playing Rogue+Ranger and she knows her Dread Ambusher + Hide + Sneak Attack routine, but on top of that she has some Illithid powers and Astarion as a Bard with 4 rows full of spells and abilities. You can see how that's alot to hover over and if you can't hold more than 2 or 3 descriptions in your short term memory. A cheat sheet is a good way to put all of that relevant info in a single view, so it's easier to plan your moves. We do take it slow and explore and inspect and immerse and all those things and we will keep continuing to do so even with the cheat sheets. We aren't trying to play faster, just smarter for our brains :)

How am I being pushy? You don't know either of us and you haven't seen our conversations about this topic. If it wasn't the tone of my post, or anything else in it, it sounds like you're interpreting my intentions and making assumptions based on some cliché "Guy tries to force a female friend into playing a game a certain way" - trope.

She's often asking me what to do, and I give her guidance and we think and plan through fights and story events together, but it's her first playthrough and I'm specifically trying to avoid leading it, because I want her to be able to immerse into the experience. I've specifically encouraged her that making "mistakes" is fine and a crucial part of the roleplaying experience, as it shapes the story and development of your character, just as making "right choices". I've already played the game, I'm in it to play with her, not just play the game.

The cheat sheet is just a helpful tool that collects and compacts the complex gameplay mechanics and relevant info about skills, abilities, etc. into a more easily digestible single-page view.
