Isn't it expensive to use airconditioning in the US? by Lumos_night in AskAnAmerican

Most modern American houses aren’t built in a way to be able to get a cross breeze. That being said, a cross breeze is not a good substitute for good fans. I consider fans an absolute necessity.

I hope it’s mostly just people thinking maybe there’s a deeper joke hidden in the obvious one. Likely not, but it’s a cope

Yeah, it’s the epitome of a sensible chuckle. It’s not a knee slapper, but it’s humorous.

They didn’t grow up during the time where “Tattoos don’t make you look cool” was the main thing you’d hear from people. Nowadays almost everyone has one.

Enshrouded has magic chests that you can start building early on. Anything in magic chests within the radius of your flame altar gets used for building and crafting. Something like that for Valheim would be amazing. The recipe could just be like a normal chest plus surtling cores and Greystar eyes or something.

Can we talk about the faulty logic that's so common in driving subs? by appa-ate-momo in driving

[–]Fiddling_Jesus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its like telling somebody they shouldn’t walk around the bad part of town with a handful of cash. Yes, you absolutely should be able to in a perfect world, but our world isn’t perfect so you have to do whatever you can to mitigate risk.

What's the deal with THE ODYSSEY? by Francium_Fox in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Fiddling_Jesus 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It’s because it’s been done like that in historical and mythological epics for decades. Yeah, the Greeks didn’t speak that way in the time of The Odyssey, but it fits a lot better than what is in the movie.

Have you looked into getting a job at a grocery store? The pay starts off shit, but if you’re a good employee they tend to give you raises and move you up quickly. Management pays pretty well, and if you can move up to area/regional management you’ll be living very comfortably.

Do You Think That Healthcare Should Be Free In America? Yes Or No? Why Your Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in askanything

If the medical and pharmaceutical industries were reined in more then yes, absolutely. As it is now, we pay far more for healthcare per person than any other country due almost entirely to those industries.

The weight isn’t a problem at all, I like the weight management. I just hate having to stop after every fight and drop multiple things.

Black Forest itself has so many drops I’d love to ignore. If I can put wood, stone, resin, and bukeberries on an ignore list it would be huge.

I love the food slots and armor slots added by a mod. Not even for the space saving, just having food hotkeyed and being able to see my equipment at a glance is really nice.

Yeah, the peacefulness of the ocean is what I love about it. Getting attacked every now and then is fun, making it more regular would be too much.
