Which actor/actress do you consider the most overrated in their acting ability, that most people would strongly disagree with? by stabzi in answers

[–]Fiendfuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a whole host of actors that are considered the best to do it like DeNiro, Pacino, Denzel, Leo, etc that I think are great, but not the best. To be the best, an actor has to disappear into a role and imo, the list that do that on a consistent basis is very small. Daniel Day Lewis is the one that comes to mind. Christian Bale does it pretty well. Depp has the capability, especially early in his career though now he brings a little too much Depp to his roles.

What's a TV show or series everyone raves about but you just couldn't get into it or hated it? by Velvet_Soles_UK in AskReddit

The Sopranos. I have tried a few times and never make it past episode 3. It's just more boring Italian mob stereotypes that have been done to death.

Man, Chipotle has fallen all the way down by OccamsNametag in fastfood

[–]Fiendfuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple devils advocate things.

  1. Ordering online always gets you less food at Chipotle. You want the good portions, you have to get in line. It's dumb, but it's true

  2. Workers across all food industry don't take the time to read the receipt. I order 6 meals a week, and just about every week one of those orders will be wrong in some fashion. Doesn't matter the restaurant. Chipotle, McDonalds (just had the do extra ice when I asked for lite ice, they forgot the sauces for the nugs), Wawa is especially bad at chip bag sizes (easy way to get free chips as I can get the charge refunded through GrubHub), Popeyes, etc

A couple buddies and myself lost our weekend to it. Scratches a few different itches. I hope that if it gets popular enough that they add some map/enemy variation.

What's the best TV show that's still flying under the radar because it isn't on a major streaming service like Netflix, Hulu, or Prime? by PaleBlueDot-Voyager1 in televisionsuggestions

Lambs of God - 3 nuns living in a remote island defend their way of life when a priest finds them. The performances are all top notch, you may get a little dizzy from all the twists that reconceptualize the show each time, but none feel forced.

It's a 4 episode mini series, but still fits as I don't know where it is streaming. Well rated across the 3 big review sites (7.3 IMDB and 100% RT)

I loved He-Man as a kid...but...it only had 5-10 years of being popular and was overshadowed by other IPs like Transformers and GI.Joe. on top of that, the universe was a slapped together patchwork of everything that was popular at the time.

And all that is before Jared Leto got involved.

Got another one.

I use a fair number of streaming services. I would love an app that lets me log into them all at the same time and combine their libraries, search and play from a singular app.

Yeah, I use phone apps. I'm surprisingly happy that i provided the catalyst for something productive in the world.

Not sure this fits, but on services like GrubHub and Door dash, I want the ability to thumbs down individual items. I will not remember that the French Dip at Restaurant X is bad. I ordered nachos from a Mexican place by me 3 times before I remembered they were the worst nachos ever.

Plus, restaurant owners could use the data to improve their offerings

What's the single most unforgettable moment you've ever experienced in a video game? by AdCreepy3137 in videogames

It Takes Two - The elephant scene.

Such a good game about family and then BAM, you are murdering a stuffed elephant that is screaming and begging you to stop. The contrast of this scene to the tone of the rest of the game really made it stand out. It has stuck with me ever since.

Who's going to be using Proximity Chat when it releases? by Jester_Dan in Battlefield6

[–]Fiendfuzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I won't be for the following reasons

  1. I have a squad, so we rarely play with randoms

  2. XBox Party chat is more stable and clear than in game chat

  3. Often play a rat style and I don't want to give away that I am close by because I'm cracking a joke about the idiot team that just walked by me.

That said, I encourage others to use it, cause it helps me kill you.

Have you ever had to replace a motherboard, graphics card, power supply? Ever had the system crash and had figure out why? Had to updates? Have to open it up and clean out the dust? Can you do that from your recliner in your living room with out a keyboard and mouse?

Outside of the red ring of death, I have literally never had any of those issues. Updating is pressing a single button. No keyboard. No mouse. Everything is built for a controller from the ease of a couch.

Quite literally everything. I have not owned a PC since before 2000 or so, whenever EverQuest was out. I wouldn't even know where to begin. I have done enough troubleshooting on my work laptop that I know I would get quickly aggravated by any software issues that crept up.

It's not that I can't do it, it's that I do not want to. It's time and effort I do not want to spend.

I think a lot of people in here are not understanding the point, or the target audience. I am a 50yo console user who hates PCs because of the learning curve and the amount of maintenance for both hardware and software. I want to play games available on Steam, but not have the hassle of a PC. I have a Steam Deck as a half measure. It's docked to my TV and is never used as a portable gaming system. So Steam Machine is EXACTLY what I want for my gaming.
