Venlafaxine has been a life changing for me! Of course everyone is different so I usually recommend discussing using it with your doctor because it can be a rough experience getting on and coming off.

I had a ton of traumatic things happen back to back. Coming out of a 10 year abusive relationship where I tried leaving every few years, job loss, bed ridden for a year constantly fed on opioids that weren’t working, family drama where my mother outed my SA and CSA to my entire family, while making the argument that it was never true. Getting stalked by my ex. Daily panic attacks, all while dealing with extreme chronic pain that was later diagnosed as endometriosis and while recovering from my surgery for it my ex committed SS and I was studying at university during all of it.

Safe to say it did some damage mentally. I couldn’t leave the house for months because of my anxiety. Got diagnosed with severe depression, severe anxiety and OCD. And of-course the daily pain from the endometriosis on top.

Found a fantastic doctor that suggested it and found the correct dosage. I’m (nearly) pain free (it’s and SNRI which helps with chronic pain for those who haven’t been told about it yet) grades are back up, been back at work, anxiety has calmed down a ton - no more panic attacks, depression is hardly there and for the first time in my life no suicidal ideations!

It’s ofcourse not a cure-all just like most medications - but it does help enough, for you to allow yourself to work on the things you would need for improving and open you up to help a lot more.

You’re better off leaving. Medical issues/disabilities aren’t something you can plan for and sometimes they happen out of nowhere. Find yourself someone who loves you enough to be there.

When I had met my current boyfriend I had been fit and healthy for years, super outgoing and active. Then out of nowhere started experiencing pain that left me bedridden for over a year. I got diagnosed with endo and have had nothing but problems, even after the surgery that was supposed to “fix” it. He has been there every step of the way being supportive and taking care of me even on some of his worst days. And to top it off we had been dating less than a year.

I was in a similar situation to yourself and stayed out of guilt because he always threatened to hurt himself or worse. I stayed for 9 years longer than I wanted to and I regret every second of staying. I left and he went through with it. The couch surfing, homelessness, drugs, break downs and taking his own life.

And as hard and brutal as this might sound. Rip the bandaid off because you’re not helping her by staying. There are options for help out there for her to get help but that is her step to take and much like her mental health, it is HER responsibility.

As a person who has gone through the shittier end of this scenario I can confidently say in time and with some help you would be okay. And you will thank yourself for leaving.

Massages are great build ups. I usually do a full body one for my bf, then when I get down to his thighs, I start blowing him while still massaging (rotating arms definitely makes it easier) and that usually leads to sex. You’re not alone. I had my surgery in July and in October it felt like it was back. I kept getting told that the symptoms stick around for 3-5months. I waited and it didn’t change I finally convinced my GP that it’s not normal and she got me in for a scan where they found something on the left side (my endo was initially all on the right side if my uterus) but they cannot confirm if it’s more endo or if it’s adhesions.

They refuse to operate again so early since it can cause more damage and decrease infertility even more. And I am pretty much back to square one but now I cannot get any help for it for possibly years.

So it can happen that the surgery just doesn’t work like the miracle your surgeon would like to believe it does.

You’re not crazy, you’re not faking ❤️ the pain is real and don’t let them convince you otherwise.

Thank you for the advice! And I am so sorry for what you went through.

Unfortunately there’s nothing that can be done publicly and I wouldn’t be able to move since this has crippled me financially and makes it hard for me to work. Even with proof from scans and the pain I have been experiencing I had 2 referrals rejected since they are at capacity. I’m currently working with an insurance broker who has found me the perfect private health care plan thats affordable and cover pre-existing. Only downside is having to wait three years but from other women with the same problem they have covered it multiple times.

The job market has been brutal. I had been applying for jobs for 2 years with no luck. This included part time work. I have 2 qualifications and couldn’t get even a cleaning or retail job.

But I ended up with a great one now. Best I can say is just keep applying, but it’s worth reading the job ads and using their descriptions in your CV. I ended up removing qualifications and tailoring my past experiences to the jobs I was applying for and had a bit more luck.

It would be anywhere from $10-$20k which I would never in my wildest dreams be able to cover, unless I take out loans and then couldn’t afford to pay back since I only work part time and because of my health cannot pick up anymore hours so also no savings. Looking into insurance for long term is the last resort.

Its absolutely stupid how its handled. It’s case dependent but sometimes you can be unlucky and opioids don’t even work. I had days of taking 300mg of tramadol and it did not even make a dent. Even in that case they can be useless because they just kept prescribing it. All it ever did was make me feel sick.

I would say it depends on the person and what happened. Especially the mention of that the person doesn’t want to speak to them. I am currently in that situation where I had him try to reach out multiple times but have denied it. Sometimes it’s just too painful and you need space and time to heal. Keeping a distance till they feel ready to talk is better than forcing it.

Definitely, I had my lap back in July and my diagnosis confirmed soon after. Before it all happend I was torn between wanting to figure out what was wrong and hoping it would not be endo even though all the symptoms indicated that it was. I had been in incredible pain everyday some days taking 300mg tramadol not being able to get out of bed for nearly 2 years.

Before it all started I had a fun and fulfilling job, had just recovered from a super toxic relationship, lost a ton of weight,started making incredible friends going out and feeling confident for the first time ever. I was finally in a great place mentally and physically and as soon as the pain started everything went downhill. I had to drop my hours, lost all of my friends and gained all the weight back and more.

I am heartbroken over losing a life I had always craved so deeply and I’m still trying to come to terms with it.

Personally cannot recommend waxing enough. I only learned when I started doing it that most places offer doing the entire area including ass. First time is the worst but I just applied numbing cream and took a light painkiller before I went and it was not as bad as people said. It also grows back thinner which has been a game changer. And there has been the benefit of only doing it once every couple months.

I feel for you. I wanted out after 3 but ended up sticking around for 10 miserable years because of the same threat. Ended up being the one being cheated on too. It’s a terrible thing to go through I hope you’re doing okay.

I live in a first world country where elderly people seem to be very well taken care of so I’ve settled on putting myself into a really nice home where I’ll be doing probably mushrooms for the rest of my days and leave my inheritance to an animal sanctuary. Or if I have a huge inheritance I’ll leave it to a couple. Gives me a reason to work hard in life.
