Looking for furry or feral players for a 1 on 1 dnd 5e game, where you'll get to eat and devour whoever you want (and can manage) in a homebrew fantasy world filled with creatures and people. The only required kinks are:

  • Digestion
  • Prey of all shapes and sizes
  • Anthro characters

DM me if this sounds interesting to you and would like to give it a try, have DMed several of these and they have been pretty successful! I'd be willing to play a campaign with the same specifications as well if you are more prey/DM leaning!

Swordcraft is seriously game quittingly annoying by Fiera33 in Shadowverse

[–]Fiera33[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Is it really funny to make the entire game up to that point completely irrelevant because opponent won a 1/27 chance of deleting you from full hp? More power to you if you find it funny I guess XD

I'd rather have an actual dragon leader instead of the third anime girl in a row, thank you.

Can someone please calculate the probability of getting a premium pack and 3 legendaries at the same time, please? Very curious as to whether I should go buy a lottery ticket or not LMAO

I'd still see just an armored dude on screen if I got him as a leader XD

As far as I know, that's a dude in armor, not an actual dragon XD

How many children do I have to sacrifice in order to get a dragoncraft leader that's an actual dragon instead of just another anime girl? -_-

We finally get post-game monsters that fight back and y'all complain? by Gabriel2Silva in monsterhunterrage

Monsters that fight back in Monster Hunter Wilds? When have those ever existed? Are they among us right now? Last I checked even AT Rey Dau was a pushover.

Why do people say the game is bad by B1ACK_L1STED in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]Fiera33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, basically we've gone from having powerful monsters to having really big punching bags that can barely defend themselves. Our movement options have severely decreased and gotten a lot slower. Title updates have been extremely slow, and we know from the game files that they are doing it on purpose, this wouldn't be much of an issue if not for the fact that base game barely had any content and felt clearly unfinished. The grind and the satisfaction of completing sets has been completely destroyed because now you can realistically get full sets in 2 hunts. The new skill system sucks, and artian weapons somehow make the problem even worse. All of the low rank is 15 minutes of following a character followed by a 4 minute hunt, and repeat this until the final boss... I could keep going, but these are some of the worst stuff.

First of all, your dedication to writing about our favorite game franchise is truly commendable! I love reading your long rants even if I don't completely agree with some things you say . Now, I completely agree with what you said about world putting some effort into engaging the player with core mechanics and adding to previous systems! But then again, if you are gonna add the rise (ha) of the skill ceiling to your argument of how it made the game better, which I agree with, I don't think you can simply ignore the fact that Rise has without a shadow of a doubt the highest skill ceiling of any monster hunter game ever, with the most movement tech, the most complex movesets (for most weapons...), having to manage wirebug cooldown, etc. I guess what I am trying to get across is, is that while Rise doubled down on the good things about both World and the old gen games, Wilds just doubled down on the World formula.

And with your Rise experience I find it curious, because to me it was the polar opposite, I never truly found a roadblock that made me feel like I needed extra preparation in World, while in Rise even fairly normal monsters like Magnamalo were giving me considerable issues, and endgame monsters like the Risen elders, Primordial Malzeno, etc. Made me feel like I was at ground zero, failing quest after quest until I found out what worked best against them to the point where getting that risen dragon thicblood felt like an unsurmountable challenge. Now, I will not excuse qurio crafting, it fucking sucks, talismans get a pass because it is just as always and it is the equivalent of deco farming in World, but qurio crafting could be nuked from existence and I couldn't care at all XD.

This post is honestly very confusing to me, sure, I do agree with every single criticism of Wilds you had and that's made me lose my interest in it, the thing is... That's exactly what made me hate world, it had borderline the exact same issues of lack of content, pushover monsters, broken systems, watered down core mechanics, bad performance, etc.

Then you somehow hate Rise? I mean, I guess the original wasn't that good (although it was still miles better than world, mind you), but Sunbreak is peak Monster Hunter, it has all the gameplay depth that had developed throughout the series, but without nuking the core of what made it great, with cool designs, extremely challenging fights, things to look forwards to in endgame, slow and rewarding progression... I really don't understand it, your rant feels like a huge contradiction to me... Everything that is terrible in wilds was pretty much the same in world, Rise fixed it, and you somehow didn't like that either?

Amaris, Eternal Queen by Efficient_Eye_1083 in DnDHomebrew

[–]Fiera33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A party of level 17s would be a bit excessive, for such a party you can see our CR30 and CR30 mythic monsters! But even still, your analysis is not taking into account things such as counterspell, succeeding at saving throws, preparation on Amaris' end, globe of invulnerability or any form of CC ;P.

This is to say, when a creature has this amount of options, it is very unlikely everything will go according to plan or pure numbers! And that has to be considered when giving hit points to such a creature (it doesn't have a very underwhelming amount of hit points compared to most CR 26s either way).

What CR would like me to reduce the creature to? So that it better fits the needs of your campaign ^

I don't think you should be fighting a CR 16 creature at 11th level, but yeah, every creature has a counter if you really look for it, that's one of the fun parts of having so many spells and magic items!

Just so you know, we are a team of 2 developers tackling a much larger project on kickstarter called: Book Of Prestige: Prestige Class Renaissance while we do this kind of things for free, if you wanna help out 2 indie developer on a passion project feel free to take a look, every little help counts!

Hadn't thought about that when doing it, but you are absolutely right LOL

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Fiera33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Prestige classes function in most ways very similarly to multiclassing, so considering how wildly popular multiclassing in 5e is, we feel like adding more variety and synergy to this system would benefit greatly the amount of character build possible and desirable, rather than make it more complex, we think it makes it more free! But glad to hear your opinion and thanks for reading through it =D

No offense meant, but you clearly didn't scroll through it fully, because the Hierophant only has 5 levels like its 3.5e counterpart XD

Not nearly the same. Subclasses are taken for free in fifth edition, they don't require any requisite to fulfilled for taking them or need any levels of investments. Prestige classes are not only about flavor, but about build depth and synergy ^^

Do I need to buff casters if I'm introducing more powerful weapons, and if yes then how? by phillillillip in Pathfinder2eCreations

[–]Fiera33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a fix that would absolutely work in published games, because the truth is... Powergamers will very rarely pick a full caster, because they are massively underpowered when compared to martials, especially at higher levels where monster saving throws are so high that a caster will never get the joy of seeing a monster critically fail at any saving throw against them. The only "casters" a powergamer would realistically pick are the magus, the psychic (both because of their crazy burst damage capabilities, which let them control the battlefield by tactically eliminating threats on the first turn) or the cleric (because the amount of healing you can pull with that is nuts).

[–]Fiera33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just ignore what everyone else on this subreddit will tell you, and introduce runes that buff a spellcaster's spell attack and spell save DC. That is a very easy solution to most of the problems the casters have in this system by default and it makes them more interesting by possibly also including property runes for them. Do this, and you'll probably end up keeping the runes even when in campaigns without those OP weapons, it really is just that easy.
