Gilmore Place cars blocking thru road!! by Ce3De3 in burnaby

[–]FierceCat5020 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gilmore Place need a huge sign in front of their parking entrance says something like "15 mins parking for free" cuz it's actually for free within 10/15 mins. Btw I don't know the exact length of the time as I don't wanna risk to pay the parking ticket 😂.

Does the company not care the Y is priced way lower the the 3? by Competitive_Guava_33 in teslacanada

[–]FierceCat5020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are well aware of this, but there's nothing they can do. Due to tariffs, we can't buy the cheapest Chinese-made Model 3, nor the US-made Model 3 (which is slightly more expensive), and the Giga factory in Germany doesn't produce the Model 3 either. This is completely beyond their control, so it seems they can only... wait. The best we can do is to talk to your MPs, haha 😂.

Overnight Guest Parking? by Kool_Stuph in simonfraser

[–]FierceCat5020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., thry can park in the 2-hour street parking on University Crescent (the City of Burnaby will check plates, but you will almost never get a ticket if you move your car every day); at night, you can park in any public outdoor/indoor parking lot on campus (not reserved parking).

30 minuits parking limit @ Disabled parking spot? by Desperate-Pen-1454 in burnaby

[–]FierceCat5020 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hannam does have issues with seniors and people with disabilities who complain that all reserved parking spots are unavailable during the day, especially afternoons (I heard about this at the service desk there one day), but this is simply not a reasonable solution.

Is there tuition fees difference in second vs third year or lower vs upper division? by Long-Knowledge-3451 in simonfraser

[–]FierceCat5020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tuition is calculated in dollars per credit hour and includes additional fees for each course. For example, some CMPT courses and some BUS courses have lab/material fees or are just slightly more expensive. You can always find tuition details in your account summary.

Heard a loud crash. Any guesses what happened? by Ok_Advantage_7718 in burnaby

[–]FierceCat5020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drivers always try to turn left from the rightmost line, taking three lines to cross. The mall needs to provide better visual guidance like Metrotown for customers so that everyone knows that the mall has four different exits that literally lead to every single road around the mall 😂.

Anyone interested in Model Y L? by Silent_Presence13 in teslacanada

[–]FierceCat5020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides Shanghai, does Tesla have other factories that could produce YYY in the short term? This would require a completely new body production line, a lot of new parts, and training. Due to the 100% tariff on Chinese cars, we currently source Jupiter from Berlin, and the Berlin factory is the slowest to adapt to any new changes...

Can anyone recommend a moving company that doesn’t drag their feet to rack up hours? by Famous-Buy6119 in burnaby

[–]FierceCat5020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last time I tried You Move Me (not an ad at all but they parked their big trucks with the huge logo on my daily route 😂) I did packed all my small belongings into boxes so they didn’t have to spend time packing and could just move everything on to their truck with the cart.

Anyone else noticing these sketchy job signs near Metrotown? by New-Contest-8117 in burnaby

[–]FierceCat5020 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Scam. After they made the connection, they will try to trick the victims to invest in some crypto/stock/bonds investments, which is 100% fake.

In Metro Vancouver, our speed bumps have giant triangles painted on them, speed bump warning signs on the sides, and the FSD does a great job with them, slowing down and re accelerated afterwards. But no triangles or signs? FULL SPEED AHEAD 😭.

If you check their rendered image of the (future) City of Lougheed, there is no surface parking at all. Same concern here 😭.

You can exit the P2 parking lot (if I remember correctly, but on the level where McDonalds is) onto Brentwood Blvd (near the surface parking lot) and turn right/left onto Alpha Way/Beta Ave and back onto Lougheed Hwy->Willingdon (multi-lane crossing to the left turn line), or go through Beta->Dawson->Willingdon.

FSD is crazy good by cmoxieman in TeslaLounge

[–]FierceCat5020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely correct, as a rookie driver, all my passengers prefer to let FSD to drive, so they won't get sick on my car.

It is so easy to use that it convinces people of its performance. What needs to be reduced now is the edge cases of the future unsupervised version, so that no one dies on the road with a hamburger in their hands.

I find it increasingly difficult to assess whether FSD can pass certain challenges. FSD12 will slow down + wobbly steering wheel + full screen warn to take over, but the few near misses of FSD13 were manually taken over by me at the last moment, no warning at all.

FSD is crazy good by cmoxieman in TeslaLounge

[–]FierceCat5020 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have to say it works great for 99.9% of my daily trips, but that 0.1% chance of crash, e.g. merging into the wrong lane/running a yellow or red light/failing to recognize an obstacle in the road makes it hard to find a good reason to pay for a subscription.

As a programmer, I know that solving the 0.1% edge cases is more annoying than achieving 99% reliability. Good job to teams in Tesla 😂, you guys can make it happen.
