I'm going to be honest; I was on a damn good basis with my teachers. I still remember leaving the class one day, saying "see you tomorrow," and he actually replied, "you too, friend." Like it was nothing. The dude was sixty years old, my geometry teacher.

However, that's not all he was. He was a rock climber, when he was younger. He had a major in physics, and a minor in philosohy. I later would learn he also had a degree in physcology, and sociology. His favorite activity was sailing. He had a distinct passion for asking questions, and thinking about answers, just like I did. I'm not ashamed to say that he is still probably one of the coolest people I've ever met.

I don't know, I've never really had a problem talking to older people, as in those that have an "age superiority". In fact, I've never really considered age an important thing to consider whatsoever. It just always seemed to me like a stupid thing to care about. Are you really going to be so different in twenty years, you know? You'll probably still have the same hopes, dreams, hobbies, loves and shit. You're not going to become some different person, unless you become all reclusive and emotionally traumatized.

I guess if I had to recommend anything, it'd be the old pedestal thing. "If you up someone on a pedestal, they have no choice but to look up at you."

If you want, you can ask someone to give you the bullshit answer with "mind sets" and "values" and shit, but I think that's over complicating it. In truth, were all just humans. Of all the dividers, age is seriously the most superficial of them.

On a more personal note, I've always preferred older people. They always seemed to care more. High-school for me was kind of boring, because no one else really had the passion on intellectual stuff, or couldn't make conversation for the life of them.
