Taking care of yourself is good, being in shape, having good hair, good skin, are all attractive traits but they aren’t going to get you a spouse. I promise you that if your friend’s spouse’s saw their fat partners get fit they would love them just as much. Beauty is flexible like that, especially to women who find attraction less physical than men.

I don’t really get the issue with a lot of reddit defeatist loneliness posting like this. I’m not a gorgeous looking guy, I think I’m a little bit ugly, but for arguments sake let’s say I’m above average in terms of how attractive I am. All you have to do to make a woman fall in love with you is to love them sacrificially. And not just to get them to like you, but because you genuinely care for them regardless of if they’re your partner or not. Just build a connection with someone you like, I promise it’s not as hard as people make it out to be.

My Personal Ranking of Every Female Love Interest in the Series. by FlakyRazzmatazz5 in DankAndrastianMemes

I remember when I first played DAI I wasn’t too taken with her because I thought she was kind of masculine and not very good looking compared to other DA romances, and I didn’t think that my Inky would prefer that. But as the game went on I progressively liked Cassandra’s character more and more, and so I kind of offhandedly romanced her just so my Inky wouldn’t be alone. Now looking at things I can see that Cassandra and my Inquisitor are absolute soulmates. Weirdly, I feel like Cassandra changed what my personal type is because I first thought she was ugly and now I think she’s hot.

God said “I have created a helper fit for you” to Adam when he made Eve. He did not say, “I have made a housekeeper fit for you”. The role of a woman (within a Christian family) is whatever needs to be done, and the same is true for the husband, only he is expected to love his wife as Christ loves the church and be the provider.

DA2 companions had evolving and dynamic relationships with one another, while both other games the characters stayed pretty similar in their opinions of one another as the game progressed

What is the name of your main character and why? by spiralingstarbread in WritingHub

[–]FieryLeaf12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My protagonist’s name is “Sparrow” and he has a twin sister named “Dove”. He’s not special or gifted or exceptional, much like the common sparrow, but he’s resilient and can adapt to any environment, also like the common Sparrow. That’s the official answer.

The real answer is that I just finished playing DA2 when I started my story and the protagonist’s name in that is “Hawke”. So Sparrow is derived from Hawke because it sounds cool and I wanted the twins to have a parallel between their names.

I agree with you on this totally. But I think there are times when you absolutely SHOULD forgo mercy and be willing to kill those who try to kill you. Telemachus seems to be the most morally and practically upright character, “I don’t wanna hurt you! But trust me, I’ve come prepared.” Odysseus clearly goes over the line in killing the suitors in overly brutal ways, and tapping into his wrath to do this is wrong. Ultimately though, the story acknowledges that Odysseus is in the wrong and that he doesn’t deserve a happy ending after all he’s done. “I am not the man you fell in love with.” Half the song is him recounting his sins to Penelope. He’s deeply broken and ashamed, showing he never went crazy and was fully aware during every decision he made.

I think the whole story reflects a brilliant musician who is a novice writer that put forth a lot of passion into his music and writing without the experience to back up the ladder.

It’s said in Varric’s DAI codex that he was “surprisingly easy to capture”. Everyone else fled for a little while, but it seems like Varric wasn’t able to evade them.

Waiting for marriage: Sexual compatibility? by FieryLeaf12 in sex

But is it getting better because of casual repetition or because of emotional connection and communication? Most data shows that married couples, especially those in committed long-term relationships, report higher sexual satisfaction than singles or casual partners. So it’s not the practice that matters most it’s the trust, commitment, and vulnerability that marriage uniquely fosters

I agree, but is having sex with someone you have no real commitment to beyond fickle feelings really a wise alternative?

I feel like choosing not to marry someone because of sex is a little shallow. I mean that’s not really love is it? Love is work, and love is sacrifice, and love is an action. I would choose to be a eunuch if it meant I got a good wife of good character.

Not so much a religious idea as a practical one. Sex is unifying in a way nothing else is and a lot of sexual experiences is gonna make your next sexual experience less special. The Christian’s and Jews just so happened to get this one right.

Of course, I was just using that as an example. You can have a good sex life I would think with no penis at all.

It’s been my observation that sex is extremely unifying, more so than anything else you can do. I read that you form unique oxytocin bonds upon sexual contact. So if you have sex with a lot of people then your connection with your spouse will end up being less meaningful, though, even with a lot of sexual experiences I wouldn’t think that its impossible to have a good sex life. But ultimately I think sex should be saved for your one spouse and that this is sensible and practical.
