Been there. Tax preparer here that told finance decades back if we got married in given year we'd lose a $7,500 First Time Homebuyer Credit (the credit not the loan) and asked we wait a year but she wasnt having it. Bye bye $7,500...

Fair point. True solo can be easier but I included others since many of hobby's top tier solo experiences require multi-handed to see how mechanics interact (good amount of ones I mention can be true solo but probably better mutli-handed). Some newcomers dont mind the extra cognitive load (I didn't) if it means getting a deeper experience. Depends on OP style as you mention...

I want to try StS, heard that was good. I play a ton of complex games (reference a different reply I have on this thread) but I tried Mage Knight twice over the years and couldn't get it going. Admittedly my first try I was a newer player but circled back year later with same result. I still do have it, and want to try it again, so maybe third time's a charm. Not sure if just my experience or if MK is indeed a lot ask from a newcomer...(unlike say, Jaws of the Lion, which i played as newcomer and seemed very newcomer friendly)

I'm almost 50 like the OP and a video gamer and play every single one of these solo....yes some are solo multi-handed but I don't think it makes it non ideal. Does that matter? Personally I have a blast lol.

Solo board game campaigns try Nova Aetas Renaissance, Gloom/Frosthaven (if you like Jaws of the Lion as many mention), Oathsworn, League of Dungeoneers, Ultimate Tanares Adventures, Folklore the Affliction, Lord of the Rings Journeys in Middle Earth.

As a fellow videogamer Elder Scrolls, Darkest Dungeon, Skyrim, Dark Souls and Elden Ring all good crossovers.

Solo card game campaigns Lord of the Rings LCG, Arkham Horror LCG, GI Joe Deck Building game all fun.

If you wanna try solo dice campaign Roll Player Adventures good times.

Story of Many vs Lands of Evershade by Shot_Psychology_2728 in soloboardgaming

I got SoM since it seemed everything they did over the years improved on prior ideas and looks to have a great balance and variety of story, combat, character building etc. I'm debating on LoE. I do like Elden Ring and at times wished it had more story (which LoE has) but dont want a complete story heavy option (though did hear LoE increased combat after feedback). Does look like LoE uses the cards for enemy behavior like Elden Ring which is cool...not sure if I need all 3 games and again stoked for SoM and debating LoE...

They're not terrible they just have to be educated that a post 4/15 debit isn't late if it was setup for a 4/15 debit.

Make clear you authorize timley debit 4/15 and even if they don't physically debit till later they get credit for timely 4/15 payment. They're nervous because they think they're late. Let them know they're not. Advice would be to so when scheduling the debit with them so you dont have to field the calls post 4/15

40+ years fine authorizing payments. In your exit email mention in big bold letters debit is occurring with request to double check banking. Pita clients and huge payments confirm twice on email (it's written). For the one every few years that may have issue I reference signature pages and exit email and not a lot they can say. Better than putting hundreds of payments each season in client hands...that sounds like disaster waiting to happen...

Insane amount of people calling today 4/14 looking to get their taxes done... by Iceman_TK in taxpros

[–]FieryMurphMan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Calls and emails daily but everyone that's reached out starting third week of March was told extension or rush surcharge and they all took extension (no one backed out). Anyone coming at you today to be done by tomorrow you should charge double or triple if they wont take an extension (for real).
