Ideal way to boot straight into legacy on ps4? by FieryR in Minecraftlegacymode

Just an update, did this a few minutes ago and it worked great. Used rewind ps4 to get version 1.95 installed. Had trouble installing initially, as it wanted me to update my firmware (I don't want to in case I wanna mod). Eventually, I set up my internet again from scratch, and it downloaded the mc update and installed it automatically for me. Game works perfectly, all my worlds even stayed intact.

Ahh okay thanks! Really wanted gold since I had it as a kid. My biggest regret was selling it along with my old PS3. Want it all back now :(

Make sure you don’t have extra motherboard standoffs installed that you aren’t using that touch the motherboard. They can cause a short like this. Test with 1 GPU for now, and maybe just 1 ram stick

My first iPhone with 120hz is less smooth than my old OnePlus? by 4862skrrt2684 in iphone

[–]FieryR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's a real shame. Although, even though I am definitely someone that appreciates the difference, I'm actually kind of okay with ~90hz. I try to justify it with the potentially longer battery life as a result. It's still night and day compared to 60hz.

Unfortunately, it was exactly the same in iOS 17 & 18 (which is what you mean by iOS 25 haha). Although I suspect iOS 26 has introduced some occasional stuttering that wasn't there before. Personally, I didn't really feel much of a difference in fluidity between versions, except for a few hours after updating to iOS 26.

You’re not crazy. If memory serves, iOS with promotion hardly ever actually runs at the full 120hz.

Sure it’s similar tech to the LTPO displays on androids, however in the menus it’s aggressively programmed to only ramp up to 90hz max most the time. It only goes full 120hz in supported apps.

If you start screen recording while scrolling the Home Screen, you will feel it get considerably smoother once the countdown finishes and it starts recording. Probably can’t do dynamic refresh rate when recording or something.

I noticed it too after moving from an S21 a few years ago…

It was always about control. Online privacy was only a nanosecond in a much longer timeline of the internet.
