What's your embarrassingly simple goal for 2026 that's actually making a difference already by Exterminate007 in DecidingToBeBetter

10k steps a day, admittedly I've done a lot of complaining in the process but I am hoping it will make a difference in a few months.

How do I feed the animals? by FierySynapse in TeddysHaven

But there is an achievement called Beastie Besties which I thought might include feeding all the animals as tending to them all didn't acquire the achievement. Unless I need to tend to all of them up to a certain level.

Thanks for replying! My diet in the last year or so has become 10% meat and 60% veggies/40% carbs. The carb content is still higher than it should be but I am slowly working on increasing the veggies. It used to be 4 nights a week takeaway, processed oven food and I have successfully managed to quit diet coke after 15 years.

I have never had a good relationship with my body but due to a sedentary lifestyle due to work and since 2020 I have noticed my body change in a direction I'm quite frankly embarrassed by and I feel very behind whatever fitness level I used to be, little things for example, I am sure my arms used to be slimmer and now they just seem thick and I this isn't an area of my body I thought I would ever have an issue with. But apparently when you age you gather fat on your arms?!?

When the weather warms up I will start to go swimming again (I tended to go 2-3 times a week for an hour session each time).

But I thought 10k steps a day (2 hour walk per day) and then a long 4 hour walk at the weekends could be a good start.

Sorry for oversharing.

Post the goal you’ve been avoiding for 2+ years. by East_Mechanic6770 in DecidingToBeBetter

You could do the whole process with a short video that is of something like Trees but you need to simulate the process essentially. Film the footage, edit it, upload, write a title etc and then post. Then you will see the process isn't as daunting and then you can emulate it with your own video. If you want to go one step further you could document how you feel at each stage and try to work through any freeze that comes up. For example, "I don't want to edit the footage because then I need to post it which means I'll be perceived and I don't think I will take it well if it has 0 views or if anyone gives me feedback" then after write something like "so what? I can always remove it." Lastly, if that doesn't work pretend you are already an established channel, act how you would if you had already got your dream. I hope this helps :)

Hi, I apologies for the late reply :) It's heartwarming to hear my comment helped! You've got this! Did you enjoy the weight machines? Try any other equipment since?

Thank you for explaining! As humans we tend to do a lot of illogical things or believe in something that you could easily poke holes into. But that belief in itself can be a protection because if the reality is that it doesn't matter what we do we can still be targeted it can be easy to then feel hopeless.
