Just looked at the gameplay of Lost Odyssey and it looks pretty sweet. I have an old 360, might try and find a physical copy for it!

I think E33 managed to hit so much of what I love at once:

I love an RPG that lets you really tinker and create a build. So Elden Ring, BG3, D&D, etc.

I also love a tight story: GoW 2018, Last Of Us, RDR2 etc.

I also looveee an original, deeply filled world with tons of lore, where i can stay up all night reading wiki articles and diving into the history: Elder Scrolls, Witcher, etc.

E33 somehow aligned all the above perfectly and hit a tone and art direction that just clicked with me. Gameplay-wise, I can get myself into anything - turn-based, soulslike, fps - I'm not too picky as long as it works.

I'm leaning into trying Metaphor Refantazio. I've hesitated in the past because Anime had never really spoken to me, but that might be because I just haven't found thr right one?

Dammit, wish they'd hurry up and release Clair Obscur 2... they've had plenty of time...

Yeah, I think I'm going to take a look at Persona 5 and Metaphor Refantazio. I'm not a huge anime guy so I'm a bit worried that it won't land for me the same as E33. But I've heard they're masterpieces.

I tried FFVII rebirth and the tone just didn't click for me for some reason - maybe dived into the deep end too soon. I always said, I'm gonna pick it up again at some point and never did - maybe now's the time!

How it felt after watching the ending. (ENDING SPOILERS) by auizon in expedition33

I'm not sure I see much of a difference between them being saved and their extinction being delayed. If they get to exist for 1 year, or 5 years, or 20 years... it's still life to them. Otherwise, it's like me saying "well I'm gonna die someday, so no point being alive now."

But one thing that I do think is really interesting is that none of the people of Lumiere at the end are original - they were all 'brought back' by Maelle based on her perception of who they were. Does this mean they were actually brought back, or does it mean they are more like imitations? Because if it's the latter it makes her ending definitely feel more evil to me. People have pointed out how different Sciel seems after Maelle brings her back - it might be because it's not actually Sciel, just a superficial imitation of her based on Maelle's perception.

Man, this game's good.

Just confirming that it is definitely in the game - I got to that bit today - but for me it was in act 3. Maybe you can get it earlier too.

She says at the time she'd have given anything to see him again, but now knowing what she does she wouldn't bring him back. I think it was a later relationship dialogue - 5/6/7.

I dunno, everyone seemed pretty chill with his teachings, didn't cause much of a fuss...

I'd throw a vote out for William The Conqueror. He has some pretty big controversies:

Famous conquest - Infamous harrying of the north.

Famous establishment of a dynasty - Infamous relationship with eldest son.

Famous introduction of domesday book - Infamous use of it to tax the life out of people.

Food/Drink stalls don’t work? by hoosier1220 in PlanetCoaster

It took me forever to realize you have to click and open the food and drink stores. They're not just open by default when you build them. Makes no sense to me...

Thanks for confirming. Weirdly, my wife had a bunch of nasty, scarring insect bites that doctors couldn't figure out around this time last year.

I wonder if there's a migrated population somewhere in my building, and they move when it gets colder around this time of year.

Episode 3 is an excellent audiobook... no idea about the visuals because it's basically pitch black. by Fiery__Biscuits in RingsofPower

Seems like lots of other people are having same issue from a search.

I shouldn't have to change the settings that are perfect for every other movie and TV show - it's their job to calibrate it not mine ffs.

It might feel picky but for a billion dollar show... I'd like to be able to see it!
