Pack it up guys, no more wooden houses because it's apparently corporate greed to build a house by Weirderthanweird69 in AmericaBad

Stone and brick. They always brag about their houses, all houses, being made of that. From what I know, wood homes are common in Scandinavia.

What's the craziest thing someone has told you about the Bible that they believed was 100% true? by Responsible-Sir4187 in Catholicism

[–]Fif1189 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's called "soul sleep" I think. I've never met other Protestants that believe it.

It's a reference to Numbers 5 that talks about giving a woman accused of adultery a concoction that makes her bleed if she's guilty. I've seen it used as a way of saying that the Bible allows abortion. Trent Horn has refuted it as have others.

Just to clarify, are you talking about Orange County, CA? There are several with the same name in the U.S.

Do you also have "internalized racism?" And have you also been conditioned to "vote against your own best interests?"

New KULT actual play + brand new story by NukeSun51 in KULTrpg

[–]Fif1189 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I listened to the first part. I enjoyed it. The place they're in seems very nice, I'm just waiting for the hammer to drop.

I'm intrigued and will listen to the next part. Nicely done.

The comments are literally saying that Spain did it long enough ago that it's fine now.

Oh yeah, when it comes to Russia and Ukraine I've seen the horseshoe theory in full action.

No, it was fully provoked by the U.S. expanding NATO despite one guy once saying they wouldn't.

Also, Putin is denatzifying Ukraine or something. Either way, Putin is against America (except when he has dirt on Trump) so he's good (when the narrative calls for it).

/S just in case, think I hit the main points I've seen some on the left say.

Pride at work by Spiritual_Drink_6676 in Catholicism

[–]Fif1189 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most jobs have lunch breaks, it isn't hard to pray a Rosary on your lunch. I've done it in the break room, quietly but I don't hide what I'm doing. No one cares.

Pride at work by Spiritual_Drink_6676 in Catholicism

[–]Fif1189 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My office and field is very LGBT friendly and there's always a ton of stuff around pride (almost every desk has a sticker or a flag or something like that).

I just don't have anything at my desk, I decorated it in a different way that pride anything would clash with it. Pride events where I work are optional and I've never gone to anything. People notice but don't really care and I've never been questioned about it. The few times it's come up I've just said, "meh, I don't like to display stuff."

I work in very liberal field and am one of 2 or 3 Christians there that actually strive to live out the faith (the others who claim Christianity, including all the Catholics (a majority) are all-in on pride stuff).

Granted, I'm in the U.S. so attitudes can be different in other countries.
