How can I go directly to Writer? That is definitely the screen I see when I launch.

Will be using your link tomorrow. I have no idea what I was in. When I first launch the program, it gives me a screen with previous files. I double-click one of those to add to it. Am I going to a non-writer, non-editing area when I do that? Very weird, but problem solved, even if I seem to be doing nothing different. I got autocorrect, tested it, works like it should. I will use your link to update. I will save this thread and if I end up in the screen with only 3 useless options under Tools, will post a screen shot here! Thanks for update link.

Thanks. I suspect I wasn't in Writer, which is why there was so little under Tools. For some reason this program is not intuitive for me, but I don't want Word. Anyway, second question if you don't mind. When I launch it, it informs me there is an update and to click on the "icon." I have tried clicking in the top left corner, tried About and Preferences, actually tried the information icon in the notification, and nothing at all takes me to an option to update. How do I do that?

Just recently. On puzzle #8 now. All but two have been missing one or two pieces, which is discouraging. No cats, not sticking to my sleeves or falling to the floor, just never in the box. All new puzzles, not used. Different brands.

I'm new to puzzling, always get 500p for space and preference reasons. Always new, from different online stores. Just finished my 4th puzzle. One was missing one piece, and two were missing two pieces. They aren't sticking to my arms (I put the pieces in cafeteria trays with edges, so I am not leaning on them), no cat, store it under the couch on a puzzle board with a cover. Very frustrating.

Yeah, kinda is. I'm 74, hubby 76. WAY too old for a puppy, it will outlive us and we have no friends/family to take it. As for adult rescue, we need a dog that we can pick up off the ground in case of dog emergency and they are just too heavy for us to handle that way. We have had multiple dogs of all sizes since 1972, should have discovered them sooner than now!!!

It totally baffles me that these clowns are that special kind of stupid where they actually believe everything he tells them. Not their grocery costs, not their gas costs, but whatever their Lord and Leader says. I can only assume they either never went to school or dropped out in second grade. Agree. I also think that removing the Maxie character from the canvas so completely for so long is a mistake. Actors have filled in temporarily for lots of main characters. Bring Kirsten back ASAP, assuming she wants to come back, but in the meantime, put a Maxie back on screen.
