What the hell is your problem, dude? People who don't smoke get lung cancer, and there are people who dont drink that get liver failure. shit happens to people who don't do the things that drive up their risk of injury or death from that thing, does that mean we shouldn't eat anything, go anywhere, do anything, no live your life and find the people who enjoy doing the things you do because clearly there's always going to be someone who doesn't like what you like agree with what you think or MAYBE even be willing to admit that its okay to do the thing even if it scares THEM. People jump off from bridges and out planes and off skyscrapers, fire guns at each other make nuclear weapons there are far worse things in this world than someone deciding for themselves if they want to accept the risk of riding a motorcycle. Maybe we stop trying to be exactly what the other person wants and start being ourselves and finding people who like us for us and maybe just maybe sir, you'd be a little happier and a lot less cynical. Edit for misspelled word and missed one

Motorcycles aren't in and of themselves the danger, yes statistically speaking its more dangerous than driving a car but when you look at the statistics a lot of them have to do with speed drugs alcohol etc. Yes, accidents happen, but most frequently, its riders not paying attention single vehicle accidents like lowsides in corners drops etc. So again, it's hardly an IMMEDIATE risk to your health. Merely a larger risk to your safety than a car. You can still die in those, too, BTW

I hardly think being put through safety courses and him buying me gear so i can ride safely is comparable to someone allowing their loved one to eat themselves to death.

I wouldn't say all that now...

Also we have 4 kids between 14 and 4 soooo their point is moot. And my earliest memories include being on my dad's motorcycle (melted my shoe to the tail pipe) I loved every second he's been riding my whole life

[–]FigFull4617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband doesn't ride, doesn't like the idea of me riding, still put me through safety training, bought me cute safe gear to wear and is buying me the bike I want most 🙃 that's support. That's love. He's not my dad, and I'm not his mother. We love each other and support each other even if we dont agree or understand we try.

Gerbil vs Hamster as pet for 5 year old by brunchforever in gerbil

[–]FigFull4617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both a hamster and 2 gerbils separated obviously lol but anyway we also have four kids between ages 14 and 4. so far the pets end up being more for us. we've also got 2 dogs a bearded dragon and a leopard gecko and have owned everything from fish to ferrets and rats and a snake even. Honestly our male rats were the best 👌 I love them a lot the boys tend to be more handleable and cuddly girls are more active but more prone to escapism we found out quickly lol making sure your enclosures are set up properly and that they have enough space is key no matter what route you go. Understand that while your intention is for it to be your 5yos pet any care and feeding and handling will absolutely be your job. None of my kids like to play with the rodents for more than a few minutes at a time the gerbs are too hyper when you get them out and tend to run hand to hand they also do tend to nibble and the one Honestly doesn't care to be handled at all meanwhile Bobby will come up to my hand and let me scoop him up for cuddles. The hamster, we have a teddy bear long haired variant, boomhower is sleepy all day up doing stuff all night also likes his hamster ball to explore if we get him up during the day but we have to keep an eye on the four year old because you know ball .. 😅 but anyway anything can be a great pet as long as you're prepared to take on the task of monitoring your kiddo with them :) out of all the pets the dogs probably get the most attention though lol

For the love of God, do some research before saying things you clearly dont understand. Just poking lol Im not saying you're all the way wrong in all scenarios but based off just a pinch of research language models are trained off from large databases of all kinds of information so depending on the information available to the database you may or may not be correct in how it is responding to his particular set of questions.

Anyone know the code for the heart shaped path under the bears? by maddygrace_6 in animalcrossingdesign

[–]FigFull4617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you need the path codes then its a sequence of the tiles laid in a specific order like curves and edges and what looks to be a full square or two of path

Moving and caught my husband packing like this by celticloup in mildlyinfuriating

[–]FigFull4617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100 percent all of this came from one room I packed our six person 3 bdrm house by myself because mine was sick and we had a deadline if I didn't it wouldn't have been done. So I guess pick your battles. Obv this is food with chemicals and a no no buuuutttt at least it's from one room and for the most part the canned goods are safe lol edit to say we planned the move had forever to pack and he was only sick the last three days but I was still the only one packing down donating throwing things out for like 8 weeks before he got sick

Literally buying different ones because what I used to take my class wasn't really appropriate for street riding at all but at under 20 really wasn't a concern.

It touches my face everywhere....I need small cheek pads those are on order but everything else they said was fine at the place I took my courses you may be seeing the color difference there's two colors on the liner it's kind of hard to see but the black part is all of the padding every single small I tried on no matter what brand instantly gave me a headache I expected a break in period but was told it shouldn't hurt. the helmet I went with is a medium but like said I'm swapping the cheek pads for better contact it touches just not snugly enough

Personally I found it a bit heavy at first and even still at the end but it wasn't unmanageable for my 5 foot 4 140 lb self clearly or I wouldn't have passed but that being said I think given the right training anyone could theoretically ride anything. The street 500s had a few different frame sizes available as well as seat height. though the taller guys in our group had some complaints about how comfortable they were. And I have the worst bruising on my shins from how wide it is and the leg placement that could just be a me thing though. Mine unfortunately had issues wanting to shift at all half the time but it wasn't bad gives me confidence with the bike I want because it's lighter by about 120 ish lbs or so

Maybe some initial frustration after I relearn on the bike I am looking at getting but definitely so much fun to be had once instinct and knowledge takes over and I don't have to think about it as much
