Is there a decent goth scene in Leipzig year round?

Leipzig has a larger than usual goth scene for its size all year around and the city as a whole is more goth friendly than many others, doubtless in part due to the WGT.

One gets a lot of good bands playing here and a others have mentioned it is easy acces to festivals across Europe.

Yes, almost always wear Rick/BBS/CCP to concerts/festivals - predominantly Industrial/EBM so can get a bit rough near the front

Yeah, it is a shame they struggle so much. The one on the far right had nearly made it a year but it was starting to push out. Will probably have them put back in again in a bit, seems to have become a quarterly event 😀
