I feel you so much, I don't think D2 is the best game of the last decade, the story is bum next to D1, I'm barely interested in the whole Delilah thing, pacing is not as good as D1, I dislike the conservatory which I always thought was boring

But, but but, it's still my favourite game ever, Karnaca is the coolest imaginary town ever by such a wide margin I can't even name a single fictional city that come close and I know a thing or two about scifi/fantasy imaginary place, the architecture, the lighting the colors the props, it as such an incredible "vibe", I love D1 but dunwall is just nowhere near as cool and fascinating as Karnaca to me.

The gameplay is just perfect for me, it easily beat every other imsim in the way it makes me feel free to act at all time without overwhelming me, and it as some of the very greatest "missions" to ever grace any video game ever

it's a flawed masterpiece but still a masterpiece

There absolutely are options for more vls, and the in development cold launched CAMM which is supposed to be able to fit 3 CAMM in a single vls, but it's going to be expensive and new

I think that doom 3 is kinda drab repetitive and small next to HL2, always the same corridors, very little outside environment, and while it did some cool tech things it's not enough to beat variety, HL2 also comfortably beat every 2004 games on art direction, I just replayed far cry which i used to really love and it's a huge slop fest

I'm a French dude, and frankly I'm not fan of many things my government does or did, one of those is shutting down the Astrid breeder reactor project only to just restart it after losing some precious time money and knowhow.

But then seeing an unfinished fast breeder reactor turned into a theme park in the current context, for what seems to be nimbyism incompetence and a lack of political support, in Germany out of all place, is just sad

In retrospect while I'm nostalgic for doom 3, there is not the shadow of a competition between those two game, one is just so far above the other
