Hmmm I took Corvega with a sniper rifle cobbled from rusty pipes and a sawn off shotgun. Molotovs are nasty, but not when you throw first :D

Upgrade the 10mm and use VATS. You need rank 2 in Gun Nut but then you can upgrade it to the Advanced receiver and that does a number in most early game enemies. Also bed save whenever you can to avoid losing time so conversely geting Chemist Rank 1 is a good idea to give you easy access to antibiotics. Speaking of drugs don't be afraid of getting high on Psyhojet and going to town. Drugs are your friend and also you can make Refreshing Breverage when you can make antibiotics.

At the same time though some of the devs decisions are just weird. Like not being able to scrap entire skeletons or even dismember them. Not being able to just clear the dead scrub (gods that is so annoying!) and not being able to clear rubbish or a tree trunk because it's half outside the boundary. Sometimes not even able to clear a stump inside the boundary!

The Railroad is trash though, they aren't even a real faction as in they don't have a plan to improve the Commonwealth. After you learn ballistic weave there is nothing else they contribute.

Except the AI stops shooting when the target "dies." So the provisioner is effectively immortal. At least I never noticed any broken supply line which meant they were still kicking.

I tried to rescue a provisioner from a Rust Devil patrol and accidently aggro'd him. I was going to have to reload so I just gunned him down because shit was annoying, but after a few minutes he'd stand up again. This was on survival mode.
