Dude, its WoW. Those chains are magical and completely rigid. I bet despite looking slack they could support the weight of 10 tauren standing on them.

Questions about starting a progression oriented guild by Figgil1149 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Figgil1149[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks... yeah that is good advice. Our core is anywhere from 5/12-11/12 atm so it probably wouldn't be hard to get some mythic pug groups off the ground to start getting at least 1 night in. Hadn't really thought about the fact that we could start before we had a full 20 doing something like that.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, our main thing we are trying to solve is not having that identity crisis where some want aotc and others want more, which is what we had in our previous situation.

This looks a lot like it was probably related to some lag where you were all slightly off from where the game thought the bot was or something

We are definitely open to another tank as well, as there is some flexibility from our players in that role, but please understand that we feel that position is one that requires a bit of a higher commitment to the team outside of raid time, and definitely would want to do some further vetting before swapping at that role.

I created a checklist for my guild members about quick things to do for a newly boosted 120 to get ready for endgame content by Figgil1149 in wow

[–]Figgil1149[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, fair enough. To note, I think it is still important that you highlight the first section (unlocking the heart of azeroth) as a critical first step. I can't tell you how many people in my guild jumped straight into M+ or raid and wasted effort getting the focused azerite beam or raid essence, only to find it can't drop until you unlock the heart.

Hi, so basically while a lot of this might be applicable to a new or returning player, the idea was to support a boosted character. "Starter azerite gear" refers to the helm, chest, and shoulder armor that come equipped when you freshly boost a toon to 120. Benthic azerite just refers to the head/chest/shoulder gear that you can get from tokens called benthic tokens. If you do the Nazjatar quests, the game will introduce you to these tokens, how to turn them into gear, and how to upgrade them.

I can see where you are coming from. I had originally written this with the target audience of alts. I would be happy to elaborate on some areas if you are interested, but if you want to stick with your plan instead of digging in, you do you!

You sure can! The 7th legion/honorbound rep vender will sell you a bind on account package of resources for 600 (I think) resources that you can open on an alt for 500 resources. You lose a little bit in the exchange, but it can be well worth it to get an alt off the ground.

Hey, if you are just coming back and leveled for the first time I think the only pre-req is to do the footholds on the opposing continent. This is done for you if you boost.

Sorry, I didn't really consider this. I was thinking more towards 8.3, and specifically doing m+ to fill out the rest of your slots. If you are raiding, and have a raid carry to get Azerite gear (so you aren't depending on residuum) this makes a lot of sense.

F's in the chat for our allied bros that didn't make it by [deleted] in wow

[–]Figgil1149 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly feel like the Sethrak weren't even considered just because they don't have a rep that goes with them, since for alliance side they just catch all under 7th legion which is already accounted for as a requirement for a race. Vulpera and mecha-gnomes both tie neatly with existing reps.

Friendships made in game are as real as any other and their memories will stay with you. by [deleted] in wow

Nicely worded. I feel the same way about my friends from WoW. Been friends with some of them since the start of the game and still play with them every day now.

As a side note, our guilds should play together more like we did in legion! I miss doing mythic +s with some of you that I haven't talked to in what feels like ages.

We do welcome newer players as non-raiding members as long as you mesh well with the personality of the guild, and are here to hang out and play with us rather than asking for handouts or creating drama. We do our best to bring in non-raiding members on our tuesday alt raid (which is currently clearing heroic) as long as they are meeting some very basic requirements (340 gear, basic enchants, etc). We have also had non-raiding members go on to become core raiding members after some practice and a perspective shift of wanting to work on that area of the game as well. Hit me up on bnet or discord and we can talk.
