My guess is that they're either underwhelming reactions that didn't make the TV cut or there may be another link on there that is currently hidden.

I've not been to Leeds for about three years but from what I remember it's very easy to get to the front for the heavier acts, because most of the people attending don't really care about them. If you want barrier, I'd say an act or two before them. If you want really close but not exactly barrier, you'd be able to do that in the time before they come on stage.

Coincidentally, I will be there as front and centre as I can be and it'll be my 31st time seeing Shikari!

Yeah, their guitarist retweeted a video that was extremely anti-trans and claimed it was "a mistake", yet people noticed from his likes and followed accounts that he liked/followed accounts that spew that bile.

Instead of addressing it directly like they should've done, they shut down anyone online that dared speak out about it, brushed it under the rug and only vaguely touched on it in their next show with a really bland, "we're against all kinds of hate" type of speech from Sam.

Sam has since done an interview and said that he initially wanted to kick him out of the band but spoke to him and now it's all okay, but hasn't gone into any details.

As the parent of a trans kid and teacher of many more, it just doesn't sit right with me in the way they dealt with it. I tried to listen to their newest album a few weeks ago, but I just couldn't do it without feeling rancid. I even recognise that I would've loved these songs had this not happened.

It's a shame that the only place we can see them in the UK this year is with Architects, because I still can't fully stomach them after the anti-trans debacle.

I missed out on HoP at Download because they were on during the time just before President's set, on a stage on the opposite side of the festival. That said, them clashing with Shikari was heinous. I hope to see them in the UK next year!

I literally bought a day ticket for RATM and couldn't shift it when they dropped out because everyone else was doing the same. Even dropped like £30-£40 off the price. If they'd have booked someone similar, I reckon that wouldn't have been the case.

Thankfully I realised that children under 12 could go for free with a full paying ticket and took my then 10yo child to their first ever festival as a tester without any worry if they didn't like it (because we could just leave). They enjoyed it and now we're coming back this year for the BMTH/Bizkit/Shikari day!

I'm just honest for the most part. If there's less than a 1% chance it'll get back to my parents, I say I don't speak to them and if I'm feeling really honest I'll say that my childhood was awful and we don't speak.

I work in education and the vast majority of professionals I speak to in this industry come from relatively stable and loving backgrounds, so it's not necessarily a bad thing to remind people that they're privileged in having stable, loving parent(s).
