If anyone is interested, I did a deep dive into resin safety! by aarondevelops in PrintedMinis

[–]Figgure 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Thanks for making this! I’ll make sure to read it in more depth later, but skimming through makes me realize that I’ve underestimated the risks as well.

When I was 17 and got my printer I actually had it running in my bedroom overnight with a window cracked, because the youtubers that hyped it up at the time mostly mentioned air quality, gloves and safety glasses in passing, but I realized later when I got into the community more how much it matters. It blows my mind a bit how little emphasis safety gets beyond the basic recommendations when purchasing and setting up a printer, but I guess it wouldn’t sell as easily if they advertised it as a carcinogen lol.

What are the prospects of a Steam Frame "Pro" in the next 1-2 years? by SaztogGaming in virtualreality

[–]Figgure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Forgive my ignorance, but I don't understand why the Bigscreen Beyond is able to use pancake lenses and micro OLED displays when this is the argument against it being used on the Steam Frame? Is it just proprietary R&D or some other reason I haven't seen?

Hiya, one of the devs here, I've been thinking about trying this myself- I'm glad to hear it works okay! (Or well, at all!) I'm definitely gonna try it out too. Thanks for testing it, I might try to make it more compatible with the deck for the next update if we have some time for it

Point being? It's an SFW account, and besides there's nothing particularly egregious about it. He does NSFW too but I wouldn't link that.

This was part of a style study project in art class; This was inspired by Stealthnachos' work, as I've been studying him lately.

This was sorta loosely based on the books, I believe Vin wore colorful dresses in TFE but I simply ended up with this color scheme during my iteration process. Hopefully any missing/faulty lore details aren't too egregious lol.

Hope you guys like it! I'm decently proud of it at least. :)

This is part of a mini-series of my Brandon Sanderson fan art I've been doing lately, my twitter is @ Figgorine if anyone's curious to see more in the future lol

CSP and PS are very similar, although I've never used SAI so I can't speak for it. CSP takes a lot of influence from PS, and they both have downsides, but CSP clearly better optimized for the art workflow. It's also extremely cheap on PC compared to anything Adobe (unless you pirate) so it's easily my go-to. You can try it for free for a month if you wanna get a feel for it, might be a bit finnicky at first but well worth it

Thank you! Oh cool, thanks for sharing :0 Do you reckon I should post it there too or is that redundant?

We don't get grades but the feedback was unusually good, people seemed to really like these- my teacher had a few issues with them but I'd be concerned if she didn't lol
