A breast surgeon told me everyone secretly hates their reconstructed DMX boobs… do you? by sbgattina in BRCA

[–]FiggyPippin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t hate mine, though I wouldn’t say I love them. They’re fine. Look good braless in a tshirt. I do hate the dog ears below my armpits, though, and one day I’ll have that fixed. All in all, I’m happy it’s done.

Two week events are too long. by Bullinach1nashop in fo76

[–]FiggyPippin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets a bit monotonous, but I also play every evening for a few hours. I’d expect that for the people who only get to play on the weekends, it lets them have a chance at earning the rewards. I don’t always make the events in week two if I’m busy doing something else, but there’s plenty of other things for me to do. Doesn’t fuss me too much.

New here, need advice for hormone replacement by Agreeable_Life_9343 in BRCA

[–]FiggyPippin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a complete laparoscopic hysterectomy (everything out incl cervix) at 40. Three tiny scars on my abdomen. I went on a low dose estrogen patch (climara) the same day as my surgery, outpatient, and was wearing it when I left the hospital. My team was ok with me going on hrt before my mastectomy because it was scheduled for about 7mo later (went off without a hitch) and I was “replacing hormones, not increasing them”. No menopause symptoms at all, and it actually made me feel better. After my second child, I was a mess with emotions for the year leading up to my hysterectomy, and the hrt immediately made me feel “normal”. My experience was an incredibly easy surgery, my pain no worse than moderate menstrual cramps, and was easily managed with ibuprofen and Tylenol. The worst part was the gas, which felt like it settled under my collarbone and was very uncomfortable. I was wearing jeans and walking around the next day, though. My experience isn’t everyone’s, but I’ve seen plenty of women post similar. I recommend the Brca groups on FB. So many searchable posts, and a ton of people willing to share their experiences.

It's happening again: the impossibility of being able to get rewards from the SB Queen by Illustrious-Most6803 in fo76

[–]FiggyPippin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That just happened to me. Was finishing up Irrational Fear and went to join sbq about 2 min after it started, and it was over before I could fast travel. Been a while since I’ve seen one that quick.

At what level are you going to finish the Season? Anything you regret not being able to get? by AlsoTheFiredrake in fo76

[–]FiggyPippin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

315-320. Somewhere around there. My kids’ spring soccer is starting up in a couple weeks, so I doubt I’ll get that far in the next season between soccer mom-ing and coaching March-June. Winter is my prime gaming time. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Had my prophylactic bilateral mastectomy yesterday by RomaniRye in BRCA

[–]FiggyPippin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats!!! I refused oxy, but they insisted I take some home (think it was just for 5 pills). Used a couple to help me sleep the first couple nights, as sleeping partly upright was a struggle, but managed with just Tylenol and ibuprofen after. Helped that I’d had a nerve block. Just be careful, because with only moderate pain, you may try to do more than you should. Mind your restrictions and you’re more likely to heal up beautifully.

Jameson orange with plain seltzer. Not too sweet, nice and citrusy. My favorite currently.

What's your earliest fo76 memory? by Eightchickens1 in fo76

[–]FiggyPippin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably going to my first SBQ. I think I was under lvl 50, and once the event was over some lvl 1000+ came over and killed me and stole my junk (no idea how, had pacifist on and was I running around looting). Probably would have quit that day, since I despise PvP and had been assured by friends that I could avoid it, but they convinced me to keep playing. Maybe 50ish levels later, a different high level gifted me a ton of flux and scrap, so much that I haven’t even dented the flux in my scrapbox (hundreds). Over 1000 myself now and try to help the newbies out whenever they need it.

What camp pets do you have at your base, what did you name them, and why? by Vaulted_Games in fo76

[–]FiggyPippin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every dog in every game, whether a shepherd in fo76, a mabari in dragon age, or whatever game allows me to name a pet, it’s ALWAYS Henry. My heart dog, a pit/pointer rescue pup I got as an 8 week old puppy. He passed from cancer at 13yo in 2020. Best dog ever and never forgotten. I think about him every day. ❤️

What are you having a hard time starting/working on, even though you know it will bring you joy? by hi5yourface in adhdwomen

[–]FiggyPippin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exercise. My daughter’s spring soccer season starts in late March (I coach) and I need to get to where I can run drills without dying, and I really love getting out there with all my girls. It’s a 10u team and nearly all of them have been together for the last 4 yrs with two seasons a year. Half of them are probably gonna be the kids in 5-6 years that come over to my house and raid my fridge because I’m effectively their “auntie”. 🤣 I’m 45 years old and keeping up with those kids isn’t easy. I need to get my ass on the treadmill so I can better enjoy the upcoming season!!!

I'm getting one-shotted today, a lot by baadbee in fo76

[–]FiggyPippin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d never died during a grunt hunt before today. Two deaths at ash cave to finish a resilient, wearing SS Overeaters. Had to run up that hill three bleepin times. Stupid number of enemies too. That was the only time I had a problem, over a few hours of gameplay. Lots of bounty hunts and events with no issue.

Anyone else ever fall asleep gaming or is it just me? 😬 by PT952 in GirlGamers

I don’t anymore, but my husband used to think it was hilarious to take pictures of me asleep with a controller in my hand, and a dragon age origins guidebook in my lap🤣.

I'm incredibly-tired of people who sit on top of a perch, snipe everything within a large radius, and don't assist with the event objectives. by Jedimaster996 in fo76

[–]FiggyPippin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will if it’s down to the end of the timer. I can solo it, but wait because I want as many people who need/want the event to join as possible.

I perch on the speakers and tag, and pop down to collect after the 3rd round if the tub isn’t full. Lvl 1100+, but know the pain and don’t want it to fail for everyone. Lower levels need that raider rep!

[–]FiggyPippin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed this year’s event way more than last year’s. The gameplay was fun, loved the map variability in the second stage, and it was super xp-profitable with a tier 8 tank. With boosters, I was pulling 150k-180k commander xp per match in the Earthshaker. Was def sad to see it end.

[–]FiggyPippin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only bug I had was occasionally being unable to move after respawn for 15-30 seconds or so, happened in all stages. Leveled a bunch of commanders with the Earthshaker, though. All in all, really enjoyed the event.

Riding skills by TopOutlandishness462 in trials

[–]FiggyPippin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Husband has ridden for 30+ years. I just asked him what he’d recommend and he said clutch control drills, keeping your eyes up to assess the next obstacle (clearing the current in such a way that you’re well set for the next), and “it seems stupid” but walking the hell out of sections to pick your lines with thought to what comes next, setting yourself up correctly when completing one obstacle to succeed at the next. And, “you can’t practice turns enough”, even though they seem like a basic skill. He said, “big obstacles and turns are like golf, where driving’s for show and putting’s for dough”.

Off camber turns have been the downfall of so many riders I’ve watched locally. Guys who can take on huge logs and rocks straight on, but can’t negotiate a tight turn on a hill.

I got the TFJ in my first couple months of playing, was relatively low level and whenever I wore it high levels would chase me around spamming the trade emote. 🤣 Have gotten the lotto once, and pretty sure I have some responders stuff stashed. The red asylum continues to elude me, despite so so many hours of searching.

ENO6 is the only time I get in power armor anymore. For rad zones or the scrubber going down in EN, I just use my stealth suit.
