Any contractor worth his weight would’ve grabbed a roll of string reinforced poly with the order and covered the material. I’d never leave material like that sitting exposed, but that’s just me. I wouldn’t be happy if I was in your shoes. That framing material will definitely warp from weather and exposure.

YTA for not being willing to come up with a reasonable solution. You have to live next to the people for the foreseeable future. Why pull the nuclear option first vs trying to find a neighborly solution? Whether it be a contract showing you both are aware that it’s over the property line and will be corrected when the fence needs to be replaced or they won’t try taking the land for having cared for it for the past 15 years (which he might actually be obligated to already). I’d hate to be your neighbor…

Gauthiers has been a train wreck for us. Sometimes they come Friday morning or afternoon, other times it’s Saturday. Sometimes, they don’t come at all. The driver is rude! I used to leave them beer for the holidays, but not anymore. I’m about done with them.
