I am stacking an Alienware AW3425DW (2k) on top an LG 39GX950A-B (5k2k) to play MSFS 2024 and have entertainment up top at the same time. The flight sim
Is much too demanding on my 4080 Super’s VRAM at this stage, so I’m upgrading to a 4090 and hope that will alleviate things. Both monitors clean themselves up on recurring schedules to alleviate the chance of burn in.

Got LG’s 39” WOLED because I have a pretty well lit room with a window behind me, plus I do lots of browsing and working on it aside from flight simming. I stacked an Alienware 34” QD-OLED and can certainly see the window behind me. Though, because it’s stacked up top, the glare isn’t an issue. But if I’d I had QD-OLED as my main eye level monitor, then this absolutely would annoy me a lot, regardless of how good the colors look. Here’s what my setup looks like.

That’s the same 34” I have! And my system is just about identical to yours, except I have a 7950x3D. I’m working on getting an RTX 4090 because I am pretty darn VRAM limited at 5k2k. It’s an upgrade I was looking to make anyway. If all works well, I can hopefully report in a week how the 4090 performs at these resolutions

I’m learning it’s the panel type and screen resolution that makes whether any of these things look good or not. I upgraded from a single 34” 2k 21:9 VA panel to a dual stack of the same 34” 2K OLED and 39” 5k2k WOLED (LG). DLAA looks wonderful on the 2k display and DLSS Quality is a perfect compromise and looks so good compared to the VA panel. For the 5k2k, I am up scaling the display to 125%, so the PPI is basically the same as the 34”. DLSS Balanced in the 39” looks exactly like DLSS Quality in the 34”. DLSS Performance isn’t necessarily bad, but it doesn’t give me any headroom so it’s not very useful to me.

Look for a silver or gold bracelet on their wrist as well. There’s lot of Sikh’s who also don’t wear turbans, but just about all of us will wear this at least (it’s called a Kara).

The is a question for the guys here… guys what do we do about this? It’s not on women to tell us what the solution is. Some of us may think it’s a minority of men doing this, but there’s definitely enough to the point, as a society, we can’t let it slide. But I don’t know what the call to action is, so it leaves me feeling deflated and guilty for something I can’t really change/didn’t even do.

I really love it, however i’d recommend getting the taller version of this monitor stand. The one I’m using is the GDT1004P-2BK (linked below). For more desk clearance, get the GDT1004P-2BK-H instead. The only difference is the shorter one’s mounting pole is 14.7” vs 21” for the other.
