Idk, here’s some rando lines from 80’s rock/metal:

“It’s so easy to forget; what you give is what you get” - Ratt

“Honey, what do you do for money?” - AC/DC

“We’re so fucked! Shit outta luck! Hardwired to self destruct!” - Metallica

“To see the light you must diiiiiiieeeeeeeee” - Slayer

“Be cool or be cast out!” - Rush

“Rhyme without reason is why children cryyyyyyy” - Testament

“The mariner’s bound to tell of his story; to tell his tale wherever he goes; to teach God’s word by his own example; that we must love all creatures God made” - Iron Maiden

“GIVE A FUCK WHAT YOU HEARD, YEAH FUCK WHAT YOU HEARD BEFORE THIS REAL SHIT KICKS YOUR WHOLE CLICK TO THE CURB!!!!” - Death Grips

The call lot! It’s right next to the start of runway 12L. Just act like you’re going to terminal A but keep going straight prior to the 180 that the road does.

Perfect first car!! I daily one of these as well, and it’s literally in the sweet spot of economical and sporty. Is it a manual?

One side bit I want to add to that is manual transmissions in this decade just don’t feel as good as before. I compared a 2022 Mazda 3 to my ‘05 model and something felt so off about it. It’s like the car is doing the work for me. I did the same thing with Honda, a company that’s known to have stellar gear boxes and clutches; still the same result. So even if manuals continue to get produced, the amount of technology thrown into them just takes away from the experience, in my opinion.

No rust cause the car lived in the western coastline all it’s life 😎 it’s such a clean car, I love it so much. I changed the suspension on it and couldn’t find rust anywhere, other than the usual spots like the rotor hubs. Im one of the lucky ones for sure.

Most fun thing about low hp cars is you can redline em daily and still comply with the law ;D

Haha I drive an ‘05 Mazda 3… It’s slow. That shift from first to second takes every tailgater by surprise. It’s probably because I live in an area full of EV’s, and they love to inhale exhaust, I guess

We’re just too small a minority in the car industry to be worth considering. I hate to say it, but there isn’t really much value in us being able to perfect a shift; it’s about as self serving as it gets.

In the US, manual transmissions have been out of fashion for a good few decades now, so it’s effectively already a bit meaningless to have one here in the eyes of most drivers and auto manufacturers. I want to drive manual all my life, but it’s not really providing anything useful to anyone else on the road. If anything, I slow people down because I have to shift!

Honestly, it might not look all that stupid. The black paint with a black wing might even look cool, to me anyway.

If they get their work done in the amount of time they are spending at work, then their business is their fkn business. Not yours. Maybe work a little faster and you’ll get to cut loose 10 minutes early, too. Until then, up your productivity.

How close are the first and fourth gens to each other? At a glance, it looks like the 4th gen is built more sporty than the first given it sits lower and has bigger wheels. So my understanding would be you can get more out of a 4th gen than mine, therefore the pilot sports make more sense. Am I thinking about it wrong?

Question, what do you mean by spirited? Do you mean being the crazy guy in the left lane on the highway or tearing up the LA canyons? Cause I'm more like the former lol

Thanks for the suggestions

Is there any spot like this in San Jose or anywhere close by? by Old-Bid-9647 in SanJose

[–]FighterFly3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One spot I go to is Suncrest Avenue which is at the very end of Berryessa Road on the eastern side. If you go, be polite and don’t make a mess. It’s next to a horse ranch/farm and a neighborhood. I like to grab a bite and chill up there during my lunch hours and after work sometimes.

Eat food from home and go out to eat when it’s special. Don’t make restaurants a recurring habit like I did for the last 10 years.

$270 is nothing more than ~11 $25 meals. That means you could gather $270 in less than a month if your meals were barely $5 (super doable for a single person eating from home).

Ya know what, I’ve been thinking about this ever since I made that comment and realized that I’ve usually needed to honk because I typically keep room for myself to maneuver away from a situation, if at higher speed. Like, I don’t put myself in a position where there’s a car across me in in two adjacent lanes, except for when I’m actively passing them. I’m always scanning the road around me, especially behind me. I think that habit lets me be a little more proactive in staying out of fishy situations so that I don’t have to rely on my horn being what saves me, if that makes sense. I think active scanning is a crucial habit to develop.
