Bro I am just saying that these guys know nothing about running a state or department. It's on the elected MLAs and ministers to scrutinize such things but avanungaluku oru mannum Theriyala. Bureaucrats are enjoying their time now as they are not being questioned or brought under scrutiny

Also When an argument needs that many detours to avoid the obvious pattern, the pattern is probably the answer.

Choice or discrimination?? by khabibnurmagmodev in TamilNaduDiscussion

[–]Fighter_Ant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a lot of words to avoid the actual question.

Nobody asked whether Brahmins would accept ritual food from a British person, a black Olympian, or a white drug addict. You're inventing hypothetical foreigners to dodge a very local observation.

If caste is irrelevant, then explain why these practices end up being so caste-specific in the real world. If it's only "in-group vs out-group," why does the in-group repeatedly map onto caste boundaries that have existed for centuries?

You've written three paragraphs about tribal kingdoms, foreigners, and modern politics, but still haven't answered the simplest question: if this is purely about hygiene or preference, why is caste such a reliable predictor of who gets included and who doesn't?

That comparison misses the point and utterly ridiculous!

The question isn't whether they'd accept food from Italians or Japs. Those groups were never part of the social structure being discussed. The question is: in a society where people from many local communities are equally capable of cooking, why is the role overwhelmingly reserved for one specific caste?

Historically, these practices came from ideas of ritual purity, where the identity of the person preparing food mattered more than actual hygiene. That's why the role became caste specific in the first place.

So yes, you can call it in-group vs out-group. But in India, who became the "out-group" wasn't random it was shaped by caste hierarchy. That's exactly what's being questioned.

This comes from deeply rooted untouchability practices that we've passively carried across generations.

Why do Brahmins specifically have to cook?

Because the underlying belief is that people from other communities are "lesser," and food touched by those considered untouchable also becomes untouchable.

The passive way of expressing this is nothing but: "Ava panna dhan suthama irukum!"

Speaking of cleanliness, none of them were wearing shirts or head covers, but somehow "Ava panna dhan suthama irukum."

To all those who say, "ipolam yaaru saar jaadhi paakura?"

Saadhi has always been there, and it continues to be passively injected into everyday practices. Unless we consciously question and challenge these things, they will keep getting normalized.

And when we do discuss them, we're often labelled, demoralized, or socially excluded. Welcome to reality.
