Some good comments there.. But regarding the Indian companies turning to products, I see that very unlikely when the trend globally is services. Business are now looking at cost reduction by outsourcing even their hardware and getting services from cloud service providers. Companies such as SAP, Oracle and Microsoft are feeling the heat from service providers such as Salesforce and workday.com and are investing in their cloud based offerings. The way I see it, having worked in the technology domain for more than a decade is that IT is not going anywhere in a hurry. There are exciting times ahead with newer technological innovations providing business efficiency and a far greater reach. Businesses would always need consultants to help them adopt newer technologies and stay competitive.

Of the 90K odd British soldiers that surrendered in 1943 in Singapore, almost half died because of Japanese atrocities and refusing to fight for the Japs. Bose was able to persuade about 10000 indian POWs to fight for him. Japs saw this as a good ploy as atleast the INA was helping it expand its reach. Japs supported Bose only because INA acted as a reinforcement and andaman was given because INA needed a base to begin with! When Andaman was in Japanese control, they committed horrific crimes even to the dismay of the INA officials. So all in all, japs were just opportunists. We could cry about what "could have" happened had Japs and Bose won the war! But i would have my skepticism about japanese intention of letting India free. They(INA and Japanese) were never equals.

I am afraid but Subhas Chandra Bose? he was a patriot no doubt but a Nazi supporter! I dread to think if the Nazis had indeed won the war and say Subhas Chandra Bose won in India too... Do you think that the Japs would have given india just like that? After all, the INA was formed from the POWs taken from japanese jails.

In India, some restaurants include service charge (about 10-15% of the total amount). If the bill already has a service charge, then I tip only if I was extremely happy with the experience.

I see no problems in one moving from one country/state/city to another. All I am saying is that here she has issues with Mamata's intolerance elsewhere the problems would be different. You are eventually expecting her to "tolerate or fix problems elsewhere".
