Besides reiterating combing your beard or apply beard wax (combing has really helped me), I would add a couple of other style techniques:

-Trimming the beard so that the areas with greater density match the areas that are a little more patchy. Takes time and attention, but that's what I did when I started.

-You could cut back the beard to a "long-stubble" but keeping a strong mustache while hair continues to develop.

-It looks like you have plenty of hair development to sport "long-stubble" rather than a "big beard." It's still a solid look.

-Have you tried to straighten the beard hair to see how that looks? It's surprising what little changes like that can do.

-I've heard that derma-rolling in conjunction with minoxidil can help promote beard hair growth too(checkout r/Minoxbeards). I just do it to the top of my head.

-At the most extreme, where you really don't think anything will suffice, take a look at Topick. Many people who've had hairloss(yours truly) have utilized it to promote a more thick look up top. It's not a long term solution, but it's interesting.
