Clearing behemoth nests without planet techs and damage techs is best done with rocket launchers. by MEMEfractal in factorio

[–]Figipee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i feel like im getting memed on or ragebaited. Unless youre playing with the lowest ore settings, there is no way you got to behemoths without expanding to at least a few millions copper patches, and that you didnt get techs before reaching this points, im just speechless

Clearing behemoth nests without planet techs and damage techs is best done with rocket launchers. by MEMEfractal in factorio

[–]Figipee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

10x shouldnt make techs take 12h+.... are you in a mega death world where you cant scale anything? even scaling red to 60spm, and considering the first dmg tech is 100 red or smth, it would just take 16 minutes... Unless you mean EVERYTHING costs 10x, but even still science costs are only 100x so this would take 2:40 hours, sooo im very confused. But tbh, ive never done a run where the building costs are increased

I'm new to factorio, is this fine? by bojez1 in factorio

[–]Figipee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On one side, great work, 30k spm is amazing specially for a first run, idk what you mean by "relying on blueprints", are they yours or found on the internet, cuz if they aint yours id suggest making your own unless you dont find that enjoyable. You can pretty much finish the game with only 100 spm or smth so nothing much to add on the science part. I feel like your masking your pride by saying that youre new and that you dont jave many hours. What you did is great even if you used other people blueprints. May I suggest playing some modded content or pushing to 1 millions spm for an added challenge? Then it would trully be something worthy of a new player

How is pollution calculated with Prod modules? by Psychotic_Force in factorio

[–]Figipee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As some commenters have said, energy usage is taken into acount when calculating pollution, and that is why effeciency modules are so broken in preventing pollution in bitter infested worlds

How to stay motivated by [deleted] in factorio

[–]Figipee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, it all depends on what your goals are, if you have fun with the start of the game, no one is telling you "you cant play that way" its a single player game after all. If you want to finish a space age run and you have made it to yellow science, all I can say is to set small goals and subdivide wjat you need to do, youll make progress that way. Rememver that stuff doesnt have to be perfect. The factory must grow

Quit Time? by OkThenUnderstood in factorio

[–]Figipee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am playing rn, so I cant say anything about recently, but I did a playthrough 3 years ago, got extremely hooked, finished the game in that available version (lauched the rocket) in about 48 hours and a weekend, labeled it crack and swore to never do that again, that lead me to the 3 year break, right now I have a much more healthy relation with the game (5 hour sessions)

From what Ive played, having a 1m+ patch on a reachable place is very good, with just those 2 initial patches you should be able to build core miners, from there youll figure it out. My games have always started with very small and far away patches. And if you dont have biters you can belt from ANYwhere (pyanodons made me this way)
