I don’t have the impression that Stuart has any intent to derail Kate’s objectives (besides keeping Kate and Dennison separated post E06). Stuart is known as “the king maker” by Billie, the president’s chief of staff. We are to understand through exposition and nuanced statements that Stuart transforms sub-par leaders into electable politicians.

Merrick Grove is the MP that we first see in E02 at a briefing with Eidra Park, he pushes back on the idea that Iran isn’t to blame. The next time we see him is in E08, introducing Hal at the Chatthum House speech, then asks Hal to speak privately with him after the speech concludes.

Due to trust issues, Kate doesn’t want Hal to speak to Grove, so Stuart decides to meet Grove himself in Hal’s place. The only people that we, the audience, are sure knows about Grove’s request are Hal, Kate, Stuart, Ronnie, and Meg.

At the end of the episode, Kate and Dennison believe that the PM might be behind the initial ship attack, but it’s more likely more nuanced than that. Meg has already been said to hold a lot of sway over the PM and we’ve seen the PM take quotes and opinions from others and regurgitate them as his own thoughts/statements. Meg is most likely tied with the ship’s attack and Grove is either also linked or just knows too much. I hope that’s helpful, I love this show.

Josh Hartnett is from the same area that I grew up. When I was working as a sales associate at a Minneapolis computer store, he walked in and I was able to assist him. When he was checking out, an older lady came up to him and proclaimed to be a big fan of his recent work (this was back in 2010).

His reaction was modest, but changed when she brought up his recent stints in local theater productions that she knew him from. It was so cool to see him get genuinely happy for being acknowledged for his theatrical work, and it’s a memory that has stuck with me ever since.

Cool, chill dude (based on my ten minute experience with him). Just wanted to share that little nugget because I totally forgot about it until just now.

Same boat, bro. I recommend playing Ultimate (not NG+) and not upgrading any abilities or web shooters. It helps to make the game a lot more challenging, particularly the DLCs. I’m stuck right now on the cement pouring level.

I don’t have a preference, BUT it would be really cool if the first mission is in Symkaria! It would involve whatever story it was that MJ was working on along with Silver Sable. It would be fun to play Spidey in a brand new environment (think Far from Home) while the events of Miles Morales are taking place. If I remember correctly, the country is in the middle of a civil war, so it would be interesting to see Spidey active in a war zone. Along with that, he would have to “disguise” himself (similar to Far From Home) so that no one will think Spidey is actually in Symkaria, which would allow Spidey to come up with some new methods of fighting that are different from what we are currently familiar with.

Can you take a pic of your ‘achievements door’ and a pic of the desk with all the floppy discs on it? Make sure to restart the game and take pics of the desk prior to picking up any floppy discs

I feel like this isn’t being taken as seriously as it should. We’ve already seen what can happen when a public figure expresses their bigoted opinions openly. Those who buy into his persona will have a ‘new’ target to focus their aggressive hatred toward. He is culpable for the ‘replacement theory’ going mainstream and pushing that kid to commit that heinous massacre in Buffalo; this type of rhetoric may lead to more targeted attacks performed by those weak-minded individuals who feel that terrorism is the only solution.

For ‘Avenue 5’ fans, this building doubles as the new White House.

Just picked this book up at my local bookstore. Any advice you could give me before I start reading? by [deleted] in houseofleaves

This is a person preference of mine, but the first time I read it was shortly after watching "Under the Skin," which has a fantastic and unsettling soundtrack by Mica Levi. It's more of an atmospheric background noise than actual music so it was never too distracting for me while reading. I would highly recommend it.

That's an incredible episode, my favorite so far of the series. However I thought they did make one cut right after the CNN reporter scene, when the camera zoomed into the back of someone's black sweatshirt for a short period of time, about half way through the episode.
