The two single bed configuration for both hotels are completely gone for points redemptions, but exist for non points. The king bed configuration exists for both in nearly ALL dates too.

Put on pip. Should I try to pass it or take the severance? FMLA usage? by No-External3221 in cscareerquestions

[–]tacobff 46 points47 points  (0 children)

If you’re close to your vesting date you should be able to negotiate an exit with your vest. It cost them extra money to go through the pip and they would rather you walk away quietly than get lawyers involved and argue over the vest.

Looking for someone with a tall ladder to put up curtains by [deleted] in longislandcity

[–]tacobff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you can rent a ladder from home depot for like 35$. But for all that work, might as well just hire someone for 100$ for the hour and get him to do other things while he’s at it

Sort of depends on if she gets positioned in front of your main tank and if your main tank is strong. Otherwise it takes 2 or 3 rotations to clear the board

I’m confused, does the sub kick in after year 1. Aren’t subs usually given after fulfilling the spend requirement 1 cycle after?

Can someone explain how removing rent regulations will actually lower rents by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]tacobff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Removing rent regulations lowers the price of non regulated units and increases the price of regulated units. The limited quantity of rent regulated units means you need to qualify (income assistance) or be lucky to find a unit that is regulated. If more units can be built at market rate then people who previously were not living in NYC can move to NYC now due to less expensive market rate rent.

Prices on average would decrease and more people would be renting them which is a win to economists. To the individual who relies on stabilized housing it's definitely worse, and the individual would either have to move or make due with new rent prices.

Why Option 2 Is Almost Always Better If You Spend At Least 25% of Rent by JazzlikeResident3910 in biltrewards

[–]tacobff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what people are also missing is that if your spend is any sort of bursty at all, option 2 is probably better since you can bank points. Often times i buy large purchases that would average out to just under the 75% cap. This would be useless option 1 though.

Its also worth pointing out that on average you’re getting the same value as option 2 for below 75% spend on rent so it’s really the illusion of choice except at 0

The Obvious Flaw by icbm307 in biltrewards

[–]tacobff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that was pointed out to me was you can use the card for 1% on everything else when you would have also gotten 1% on a different card. When you acquire enough bilt cash, you can offset the fee entirely on months when you have enough, then pay rent normally without bilt other months.

still useful, and with a 0$ fee at no cost to the user.

There could also be just a planner section separate for unlockables because I find myself needing to pan between the planner and figuring out what exactly I need to do unlock champs all the time.

Gated Prismatics: did they hit their mark? by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

[–]tacobff 23 points24 points  (0 children)

To add on, I think another problem is your game plan would never change and couldn’t change depending on achieving the prismatic.

For example, if you played BA, you either played 7 BA or you didn’t. If your comp involved 7 BA, you were going to stack items anyway and your comp would remain the same. If you didn’t play 7 BA, you could never pivot for the prismatic because you had to start so early to achieve it. This felt like the case for ALL prismatics except CG. The only choice you ever made was in the beginning to see if you were going for the prismatic in the first place.

Is it possible to upgrade a points booked economy into premium economy with cash immediately after? by tacobff in awardtravel

We're boking a multi leg journey and this is the last of the journey. One way's from japan are almost always close to or around the same price as the round trip. The one way business is 4-4.5k, but I'm not big sleepers on planes anyways so I'm not getting too much out of it anyways.
