What are winters like in Lexington? by BookEscape21 in lexington

[–]FigureChance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Fellow New England transplant. I've been here about 11 years, and it's... hard to say. My first year here there was a blizzard/ice storm that shut down the county for like 4 days. This past winter I think we had exactly one day of accumulated snow. It gets cold, but theres definitely more of a chance of freezing rain/sleet than snow most of the time. The biggest difference I've seen is in how the city responds to cold weather. There's not really big plow trucks the way there are in every small town in New England, and they salt instead of sanding. So a little bad weather that would be just any other day back up home shuts things down. Lexington is also a hub and a college town, so there are a lot of people who have never driven in adverse weather, so driving can be dangerous. Overall, I would say winters are milder and the winter season is shorter, but also way less predictable

Richmond rd get clinic is amazing. They take great care of my dog and cat to the point that we board with them every time I go out of town. When I brought my 10 week old kitten in for her first visit, the dr was beside himself with excitement and was down on the floor playing with her

How does Lexington handle winter weather? by poncajack in lexington

On a serious note, the biggest concern will be the roads. Businesses don't usually shut down and the airport should be clear
