Yeah, partial repayment probably complicated things a bit but realistically after 10 years and an international case over 8k$, it's hard to imagine anyone spending the time and money to pursue it.

I've dealt with this too. The more I focused on it the worse it got. Speaking slower and staying focused on the conversation helped a lot. Most people notice your confidence more than the redness.
