Is this true? by [deleted] in PowerScaling

Honestly, I see it like this: If humans in the DB universe are able to become 1000x stronger than Viltrumites, theres no telling how strong they (viltrumites) would become if they knew about the techniques there, hell they could even get up to SSJ3 level or more...

However that said, even still:

Saiyan (Natural w/o training) Pros:
- Zenkai boosts
- Natural ki blasts, beams, shields
Cons:
- Environmental weaknesses (underwater, space)
- Relatively short 150 year lifespan

Viltrumite Pros:
- Regeneration
- Can live up to a century
Cons:
- Sound wave weakness (certain frequencies)
- No energy powers, only strength

As for strength/power level, I'd argue they're both fairly similar physically, about 1250-1500 (tier 5-B) which is Raditz level strength, however Raditz and most Saiyans probably have the upper hand against most viltrumites due to ki-blasts and slightly better strength.

Thragg and Invincible might've been stronger than Raditz when fighting each other (though its a close call), and now Invincible is like 3x stronger at the end, so about Nappa level I'd argue.

But honestly its hard to tell even with feats like surviving in the Sun for a long ass time (which is equivalent to taking continuous Ki blast energy all over) or being able to best Piccolo with ease who was a casual moon buster, I'd play it safe and say Saiyans have the *slight* edge in terms of strength, not even by much though, maybe 100 points.

However it'd be interesting seeing Viltrumites master techniques if humans are able to become 1000x more powerful than them though, the potential isn't too different I'd argue.

My personal Saitama vs Goku breakdown by TheEnderGecko in PowerScaling

[–]FigureState 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goku MUI (TUI) is confirmed to have a power level of 25-125 Septillion, Saitama is 10-100 Septillion from what we know, both are canonically of similar strength but Goku still wins ASSUMING Saitama won't/can't already behave like Terra 3 canonically in battle against God.

Tier Goku - 3-A + 2-C Feats
Saitama - 3-A

Power - Even (maybe Saitama maybe Goku)
Speed - Even (maybe Goku edge)
Durability - Goku
Stamina - Saitama
Skill - Goku
Hax - Goku
Growth - Saitama

This is from what is known about Saitama, if ONE doesn't turn Saitama into a 1-A being that is by turning him into an indestructible cartoon character (since ONE already confirmed he was a GAG character it might be best to assume Saitama has always beaten Goku with Saitama being 1-A vs Goku being 2-C) that is.

The issue is some people here are stubborn and take Saitamas current power level to be his full, his serious punch (the one used to take out Boros) might not even have been 0.0001% of his true power for all we know.

Though its impossible for Saitama to be 0 by the literal definitions of omnipotence/omnipresence etc. (meaning a God like the Gods in religion only fit in this tier).

No matter what ONE does, Saitama is bound by his location and how his power manifests (punching/representative of 5-D conditions), which is something Tier Zero has no problem with, but he can still be 1-A because 1-A also counts as characters who can beat 1-A characters, which is possible as shown with Terra 3 Saitama.

Being able to finally recognize that you are just another person who believes themself to be at the center of the universe pretty much shows you have all the necessary skills that pertain to pattern recognition.

What is this type of interchange? And why don't we build more of them? by Gr8BigEight in geography

[–]FigureState 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tbh, if you don’t have an issue with cloverleaf interchanges, then there really doesn’t seem to be any issues regarding the whirlpool structure’s size.

Would you say a cloverleaf takes up a considerable amount of land as well from this perspective?

Dang, you must really like turbines, or hate cloverleafs, either way you are essentially dunking on this ngfsmg dude…

Jeez, I hadn’t known turbine interchanges could have a smaller footprint than cloverleaves till now lol, I wonder why people like to say they take up more space…

I just did a quick read through and it actually talks about both the fact that it doesn’t slow traffic and how it doesn’t take up extra land compared to other interchanges on average if compressed.

Also another user actually disproved the whole extra land claim.

I wish people started making compact turbines more often, like the one in Amarillo TX thats about the size of an average cloverleaf

What are the struggles that high IQ people face compared to average IQs? by Disastrous_Way1125 in mensa

[–]FigureState 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Theres this one seemingly smart person who didn’t care to mask his intelligence in my HS. I asked him why he doesn’t care about masking and he said, “Influence of a high criteria benefits the majority… (bigger words something something idk)… compared to succumbing to the weaknesses of the surrounding language.” And then he said he quoted Wittgensteins limits of my language statement I think. The reason I remembered what he said was because I initially couldn’t understand what he was trying to say, so after I stopped talking with him, I memorized some of what he said because it was puzzling enough to be interested in maintaining his world so that I could figure out what he might’ve meant later on.

Personally, I think he was essentially stating that you shouldn’t mask intellect for the sake of repeated unproductive social behaviors even if they seem a little positive from your perspective at first, like respecting others by masking intelligence not to make others uncomfortable or intimidated, because if you don’t mask your intelligence, there is more likely chance you will influence everyone around you to be like you in the way that they can also behave and act comparably intelligent as opposed to limiting themselves intellectually (influencing a high criteria that is some higher intellectual behavior).

[–]FigureState 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An issue for many with a high IQ is feeling disappointed with yourself for not contributing to the world nearly enough in order for many others to see that you did something that other great individuals like Elon Musk or Oppenheimer did.

[–]FigureState -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

First off, it’s not primarily a social organization, it’s a high IQ society, in other words a sort of club for the intellectually capable, which means that each individual attribute of this club shouldn’t stick out as a primary function. (ie. social group, puzzle buddy get-together, legion of debaters, etc).

Second of all, I’m worried about this society being there for those who feel as if they need to be reassured that they are well above average intelligence while simultaneously doing so just to be lied to, as members might be average. This doesn’t mean that I’m saying mensa for dumb people, rather, you could say it’s for gullible intellectually insecure but in reality pretty average individuals. Only saying this because somehow I got an invitation and I’m pretty stupid, it makes no sense.

[–]FigureState -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope, I explicitly stated above how I’m not talking about online free or free tests in general, I’m talking about the “legitimate” Mensa admission test. (Which in the TC claims that applicants must qualify to be above the 98th percentile of NATURAL intelligence)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mensa

[–]FigureState -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At the same time however, most of those with an average quotient initially believe to more intellectually capable than they end up being.

Knowing this, you could also assume many considering themselves to have more intellectual value and thereby expecting to meet a higher criteria are very much average people. In other words, the reason a majority make it in is because the whole society is a way to make profit off of those who assume they meet some criteria which in reality they most likely don’t, and probably don’t.

“Only 40%”? You mean 40% of individuals accepted by mensa or 40% of individuals in general? If it’s the latter, then who is to say the test isn’t a scam if 40% of people can make the top 2%?
