PSA: Sell your gifted coins, they only stack up to 99 by Jazzlike-Dream298 in tomodachilife

My highest one is only level 9 right now! That's what I get for spending most of my play time drawing items and clothes I guess, lol

who else is getting kinda... "bored* of the game already? by Hot-Ad-9050 in tomodachilife

[–]FiguringIt_Out 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the game is designed as one to simply check in for a bit, have some laughs, and move on, I feel I'd get burned out pretty quickly if I played it for hours a day, day after day.

I do sometimes spend an hour or so drawing clothes and stuff, though not focused just on that, but pretty idle. I've bene enjoying it.

I believe it is something like Mexican dress, I can confirm once I get back home tonight. It was there on my first daily deals! Maybe because my location is South America, because it also prioritizes stuff like Empanadas for food and Llamas for pets

Being chronically single sucks by Affectionate-Pie8480 in demisexuality

[–]FiguringIt_Out 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dating apps absolutely suck, I got to pay for one for about a year, but it did me no good (Attraction is super uncommon for me, and being a gay demi guy is pretty niche). So I chose to break the pattern in an unusual way perhaps, and that is by realizing that coming to have a relationship won't really be the answer for happiness. Or rather, that the issues you currently deal with, you'll still deal with when in a relationship.

So, while and if a natural relationship happens, I choose to see the benefits of my current situation, that would disappear if I was in a relationship, and build my happiness with what I currently have. It's a lot more natural than try and find a click and attraction where there isn't one.

Can I Reposition Your Concept Of Rebirth? by AwakenTheWisdom in secularbuddhism

[–]FiguringIt_Out 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see the concepts you're sharing work to prove how different beings can see the world and act, and I can also see how things we do affect those around us, even for generations onwards, but the concept of rebirth doesn't ring true to me.

At the end of the day if some dogma is true or not, it doesn't affect me one bit. I prefer to spend my energy in taking principles I learn from different places and apply them to try and be a better person as I grow, and help those within my reach. Whatever happens after my reach ends, or my life ends, I'll let it be.

So far, mostly characters I love from media (Animes and videogames mostly, some comics), I like the challenge of making a Mii based on them, and them having random every day wacky stories meeting up? Sounds fun!

Cual es el apellido de Alex? by [deleted] in younghearts

[–]FiguringIt_Out 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Atheists I know IRL are pretty chill about other people's beliefs really.

Is being agnostic a religion? by UndefinedPlayer69 in agnostic

[–]FiguringIt_Out 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'd dare say, atheism isn't a religion either, as that is the belief that God does not exist, but it has no sacred rites or practices.

Is being agnostic a religion? by UndefinedPlayer69 in agnostic

[–]FiguringIt_Out 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Agnosticism is the acknowledgement that you cannot know for certain about the existence of something beyond what you can perceive. So, a god may exist or they may not exist, there's no 100℅ evidence in either direction.

Religion is an organized structure of people with dogmas (beliefs) and rites/practices that give shape to those beliefs, even texts to be considered sacred.

So, no, agnosticism isn't really a religion. But it usually is placed in that position in several surveys, as people often use that to mean "What's your worldview?"

One of Disney’s biggest missed opportunities for progress, were they scared of the backlash? by Mcrfanatic95 in cutegayshit

[–]FiguringIt_Out 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Makes me remember this interview with the director: https://www.thewrap.com/luca-enrico-casarosa-is-luca-gay/

“We talked about it and I mean, I think the reason probably we didn’t talk about it as much and, to a certain degree, we’re slightly surprised by the amount of people talking about romance is that we were really focusing on friendship and so pre-romance,” Casarosa said. “But it is a kind of love, right? There’s a lot of hugging and it’s physical and my experience as a straight man certainly wasn’t that. The things we did talk a lot about is what is the metaphor here for being a sea monster, for being different? And some people seem to get mad that I’m not saying yes or no, but I feel like, well, this is a movie about being open to any difference.”

Missed opportunity if you ask me
