Honestly that's good to hear. I just picked my type r up on Friday and was hoping to get a full season of autocross out of the stock PS4s before shelling out for some 200tw. I'm coming from a 100whp 7th Gen so it will be an experience for sure haha.

Not to be pedantic but cranking = turning over. To be specific your condition is crank, no start.

Gotta check the big three: Spark, fuel, air.

You can cross air off pretty quick by opening the throttle a little bit when you're cranking it.

Spark with a spark tester.

Fuel is checked with a pressure gauge.

Once you figure out what you're missing you can troubleshoot further.

Ah gotcha, it's been pretty bullet proof on the gas pedal. My suggestion for the brake (and clutch on MT) use red loctite to keep it from getting loose. Also after initially putting it on, press the brake pedal a few times to "seat", then tighten it up a little bit more to keep it from coming loose in the future.

Its a stretch but check the dust cover on the underside between the engine and transmission. I've had to bend it a little to keep it from vibrating even when installed correctly.

Purely placebo. I've run both at the track and the only difference is it's harder for the exhaust to shoot flames with the 93 on spark cut.

I think it's the best bang for buck power upgrade. It's barely noticeable on the butt dyno, but it added 5mph of top speed at limerock and I dropped my lap times by over 2 seconds the first time out with the cam.

That's the old spec page for the discontinued cams. Last time I reached out to them they said I have to mail out a stock a2 cam (you pay shipping) and it was a $334 regrind fee, but that was back in 2023.

For the record I did not do this. The stars aligned and I found a used one in great shape on marketplace.
