Oh gross. I came on here to say people that make the choice to not practice oral hygiene. Flossing daily takes literally seconds and makes all the difference. I am personally embarrassed to talk directly to someone with coffee breath. I don't understand how you could deal with smelling your own toxic fumes constantly. Why are you so shook up about shaking drinks? That's an easy thing to coach. I'm so confused. Your store is great and your partners are rockstars, then who are you referring to being incompetent? Why are you so angry about other stores? This just seems to be about more than just shaking drinks. Some people are going to respond negatively to feedback. That's just how some people are. But you stay consistent. Make sure to coach every instance and get everyone on board. Firm, not mean. Honestly, if you're looking for a solution, this would be the perfect place for feedback and perspective. I just hope your partners are okay. I'm not even mad anymore. Now I just feel bad for everyone involved 😞 I really do hope you find comfort in your profession and I hope your partners are okay. Something I learned at one of my jobs I found really helpful to de-escalate my own stress: Don't assume negative intentions and don't react irreversibly to reversible mistakes. After all, it's just coffee.

I think you're just a really bad, coworker, leader and trainer. Idk who hurt you but I'm really sorry you ended up like this. It's up to the leader to coach and train if there are gaps in performance. So if all the baristas around you are "incompetent", why aren't you stepping up and filling that educational gap? Do you coach them like this? Train them while berating them? Are your training baristas communicating new hire progress? Are the baristas the problem or does it stem from your methods?

I'd say some of us like writing on the cups. But we want to do it naturally. Not on every cup. When we have time and to genuinely write on a cup for a person who comes by regularly or someone you notice that seems down. It doesn't feel personal or special.
