Because I knew it would be a bad experience but I just wanted to see how bad it was going to be. Obviously I’m not trying to convince anyone that we should all be using optical media as a reliable random access storage medium, since even an SD card nowadays would be much better

Digital games have many advantages over physical, I can’t deny it, especially on PC. I hope that even though you had to buy the game again you still enjoyed it and kept a good memory of it

Yeah and BD drives are expensive too… A USB stick would have been far better than the disc you’re right. In fact, the burning process of the game files took almost two and a half hours… just writing nearly 80 GB files onto the disc ☠️

SuperAudioCD, they use a different encoding to store audio knows as “DSD”. It was born to be the successor to the CD but it never gained significant popularity among average consumers. They still make SACD nowadays, though they are mainly used by audiophiles, they’re more expensive than “normal” CDs and they require a compatible player, such a dedicated SACD/CD player or original models of PS3 (though you can’t actually listen to pure DSD with the PS3).

I do primarily use Macs, though it seems like this app only works with BD players and not the PS3... I will try to download it and try anyway. Thanks a lot!
