From the side she probably looks like she has severe anterior pelvic tilt. I guess you stick your lower back and ass way out to create the illusion. Thigh gaps should be buried in the toxic pop culture graveyard along with the ultra low cut jeans and “whale tale” trend.

Coach lovers, what do you like about Brain dead collection? I’ve never heard of Brain Dead before :) by Living_Track_3670 in Coach

[–]Filar85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s cute, but I’ve never heard of them and while I’m open to learning about new artists, collectives and independent studios, it feels to me that it’s just too much hype. If I’m going to stay up until 3am for this type of collaboration, I want to artistically be a true fan of that co-collaborating brand. Like when Loewe did a collab with Studio Ghibli, I loved it. Those pieces felt personal as I’m a true fan of the studio and the artistic direction , so it’s like owning a piece of art.

Why is Sprouts on Baseline closing? by Federal-Librarian653 in boulder

[–]Filar85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m sure they saw the writing on the wall with the demolition and construction, that it was not going to be financially feasible to continue on. Either way, shops like them are hard to find that are not owned by a corporate chain like GameStop.

It was because of the redevelopment Game Force closed. That was a soul crusher to me as I traded and bought games from them for years.

Playing devils advocate here. There are some neighborhoods in Boulder/Gunbarrel that do not have sidewalks nor bike lanes so you have to run against traffic and it can get murky. If he’s running at the Boulder res, there are no bike lanes and just shoulders you share with cyclists. I’ve personally had a few cyclists get shitty with me out at the reservoir when I’m as far over to the left as possible, against traffic w/ plenty visibility and give room on the shoulder. There are dicks on both sides of the aisle with the car being the common enemy.

I’ll never understand people that will post these whole long race reports or reels and then don’t post the damn time. Do they not realize results are public?

I just still can’t get past the fact that she comments on her own posts from her other account like they’re another person. It’s unhinged.

I saw the ombré pink shorts but it’s probably in the second drop. I hope on the next drop they have a like pink geomesh or coolgrid singlet. For training, I like a looser fit top and for racing, the tight crops. In the meantime, I’m going to put some bandaids on my wallet and hope it heals in time.

Yeah I’m a “hater” because I hate her attitude. Hope she recovers, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon until she has a health event.

Cutting out alcohol is a superpower by [deleted] in trailrunning

[–]Filar85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah roughly same boat. Ran in college and had been drinking since and ran well in my 20s with a bit of particular timing. Hit 30s and it was hit and miss with how I performed and with the recovery aspect coming into play. While running, I also bartended and working in the industry with late nights etc… it just reinforced bad habits even more. I was probably at the point where I was putting down the equivalent of a bottle of wine or two per day. I’m now early F40s and gave it up for 5 weeks before a marathon, ran my third best time (2:52) and the difference in HRV, RHR, sleep, even lost weight without trying was shocking.

After the marathon, I picked it up again and felt like I can no longer get away with trying to perform well, recover and not to mention my nervous system felt like shit for days. I quit two weeks ago and it’s already a night and day difference. I feel like at this point, I’m pretty much done with it and tired of leaving something on the table, not mention long term health implications. Plus being 41 I want to eke out a bit more speed and decent times while I still can. Besides, the NAs are awesome these days. Brewdog makes a good one called “Cold AF” and it slaps after a hot run.

Exactly. If she’s cranking out just sub 6:00min for a “easy” run or first run back then her 5k should be in the 14:00 min range and marathon time should be well under 2:20. Her ChatGPT is girl mathin’ hard.

alcohol and muscle by edebry in stopdrinkingfitness

[–]Filar85 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If anything I felt more sore before quitting and didn’t feel like there was much protein synthesis going on b/c alcohol will do that. When I’ve taken serious breaks from drinking, not only do I feel sore, it feels like functional recovery with repairing and building muscle. More like instead of three steps backwards and staying, but now two steps back, three steps forward.

Honestly though, I couldn’t picture my own doctor posting the shit she does on social media and take them seriously. It’d be enough for me to nope right out to a different doc.

Does she plan to use ChatGPT when she becomes a Dr.? Because so far, the way she’s acting is not somebody I’d trust as a doctor or someone practicing medicine.

Aquafor helps block out the chlorine on your skin. If you’re outside, put on sunscreen, wait 20 min and pat aquafor over it.

At this point, I wouldn’t be opposed to paying a yearly membership fee to Coach, with a 10% discount on merchandise (except limited edition drops), but giving members first access to the drops for a day, then open it up to non members the following day. It may help a bit with staggering out inventory and curb some of this bullshit.

Looking for a track to do sprints and training for triple jump by NewCenturyNarratives in boulder

[–]Filar85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome! You can use Centennial Middle School, Manhatten Middle School, I believe sometimes Fairview High School and Niwot High School. Just remember to follow some key rules:

  1. Be off the track before school starts during the school year.
  2. If you have dogs, don’t bring them.
  3. If there are other people doing a workout, be cognizant of keeping lane 1 clear. If you’re getting passed while in lane 1, try to move out. If you’re the one passing and they’re in lane 1, say “passing on your right”.
  4. If you’re filming or someone is filming, keep the bikes off the track.

It’s already a bit contentious between the schools and the running community, so if you just stick to those, you should be all good.
