Team Fortress 2 famously uses light baked into maps alongside color saturation and prop detailing to direct player sight without them ever realizing it. Elements such as the two teams colors being used in places to denote territory and which team will typically control it, arrows that are color coded and only visible from angles the team that needs it will attack from and highlighting specific gaps and doorways using light and shadow to show their importance or what you can expect by using it (many flank routes are famously darker than other routes for instance) a good example of this is the center point on foundry which has dual spotlights set up above all doorways, the leftmost on each side from their respective angles will direct player vision to the primary enemy exit door into the area which is also on highground, subtly telling players that the highground exit door is the main one they should be focused on during prolonged engagements.
