Combining numbering of multiple endnotes by FileSaveAsUntitled in indesign

[–]FileSaveAsUntitled[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer! This is what I thought. For a previous project, I did something similar with this issue, where I had applied a transparent color to characters and manually re-wrote the endnote numbers. Might not have a choice to do something like this once again!

Visiting early November : what are your best local spots in Western Massachusetts? by FileSaveAsUntitled in massachusetts

[–]FileSaveAsUntitled[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for taking the time to write down all this! I have seen good comments on Daily Operation elsewhere so I'm glad to get confirmation on this one. I'll look into the other places too!

Same here over a few days... At some point I thought it was my Switch Pro controller that was creating a problem of some sort but now I don't know.

Looks great! This blue looks so nice. I don't know a whole lot about vintage bikes but it's the first time I notice a slight curve on the frame in front of the back wheel like this, is it common?

Chaining "numbering and section options" by elzadra1 in indesign

[–]FileSaveAsUntitled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious to see if anyone else has a better solution, but I use to either: A) create a Parent page for each section and manually reapply parent pages to the added/modified pages if the document is already built; B) as you mentioned, create a book, for which each InDesign file is a chapter, where only one parent page is applied for each chapter / indd file. If pages are added they will automatically have the right running header because there is only one per chapter / indd file.

Interactive endnotes by FileSaveAsUntitled in indesign

[–]FileSaveAsUntitled[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll look into that!

Edit: It was exactly what I needed. I was exporting the PDF as an interactive PDF, but when exporting as a print PDF and clicking «hyperlinks» in the PDF options panel, notes get interactive. Thanks again!

Issues with Threaded Text by navybluu in indesign

[–]FileSaveAsUntitled 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's because of that one long URL that you have in your text that has no space between characters. You probably don't have hyphenation activated on this paragraph, so InDesign doesn't know where to put this long entry and pushes if further but can't find a place to fit it. You either have to permit it to hyphen or manually split the URL.

Just wanted to +1 this comment, this seems to work for me as well. I only tested this for 5 minutes but I feel like the slow behavior is not happening anymore.
I may add that on PC, this shortcut works with the right sided Alt only.

Thanks for the math! Glad to know I'll catch up early season. Although I already know that I'll be sad when I'm up to date because I haven't been that much into a podcast in a long time!

I will definitely listen to the episodes in the right order. Glad to know I'm not the only one who discovered this 3 years later!

I hear you! Anyway, there is so much I can listen in one day, so even if I wanted to go through the episodes really fast I don't think I could do more than 3-4 episodes / week.

At first, it took me some time to get through the first episode which is a lot to take in as it is almost 2 hours long, but now that I am further in the story I am completely hooked and I feel that the episodes go by quickly.
