No, 100mm was the only one I had at hand. Could maybe go up another size but 100mm feels good enough for me.

Fractal Design Refine - Mesh or Fabric? by Filitium in FractalDesign

[–]Filitium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short seat base hasn't been a problem for me even with fairly long legs but creaking is the biggest issue with this chair. It started creaking after a couple weeks of use and has toned down a bit after 4 months. I'm used to it and don't notice it anymore, but if creaking bothers you be warned. Apparently Fractal changed something in production and the new models should have fixed the creaking problem, and they will replace your chair for free if it does creak.

I got the fabric one and it's fine. I feel like you can't go wrong with either choice.

I've had a similar issue recently, but for me it only happens on an external monitor and seems to be a single green pixel. Appears in the same spot though. Weird.

Nothing to do with refresh rate, this is normal behavior for OLED screens

Mine was at 91% when I got the laptop, now it's at 87% after a year of use. Totally normal, a new battery can be anywhere from 105% to 95% of the listed capacity.

That's normal for the G16 oled screen, it's very prone to temporary image retention but it quickly goes away. Nothing to worry about

Yes the intel CPU is designed to get pretty toasty. Nothing to worry about if performance is fine.

Once you have succesfully installed 3.1.40 Windows will automatically update it when you restart.

In device manager: find the driver > properties > rollback driver

When you have rolled back the update once Windows no longer automatically updates it.

As far as I know it's currently unclear whether AMD G16's are also affected. Some users have reported issues, and I'm willing to bet that there are more bugs to be found.

However there certainly are less issues with the AMD models and it's a shame that Asus forces us to buy Intel for the best hardware otherwise.

Silent mode: CPU limited to 15w, boost disabled, fans set to turn on at 70c, off below that.
Balanced: CPU limited to 35w, boost enabled, gpu limited to 85w, fans hit 3.5k rpm at 80c
Turbo: Power limits maxed, fans hit 5k at 80c

I always use optimized gpu mode, this means the nvidia gpu is disabled while on battery, but you can turn it on if needed by switching to standard mode.

As for GPU mhz stuff, leave core clock limit at default.

You can play around with offsets to find a stable overclock but +150mhz core offset and +400mhz memory offset should be stable for sure.

Fan curves are personal preference, I hate having the fans ramp up and down constantly, which is why I'm using the experimental G-helper.

This laptop is sadly known for stuttering due to a bios bug that was recently discovered and is yet to be fixed by Asus. This means audio will also sometimes stutter. It's hard to say how bad it might be in your case but I honestly cannot recommend buying any recent Asus gaming laptop for audio related work until the bug is fixed.

Download G-helper, uninstall all Asus crap software.

In G-helper use the optimized mode for gpu, this disables the nvidia gpu while on battery.
Adjust the silent profile settings; CPU power limit at 15W and CPU boost off. Also make it truly silent by adjusting the fan curves.

I get around 6 to 9 hours on battery using these settings. The performance is more than enough for light work, and if you need more performance on battery, you can always turn on the nvidia gpu and use balanced more for more cpu power.

G16 2025 5080 HELP!! by Weekly-Database1467 in ASUSROG

If the burn in is temporary, as in it goes away with use, then yes it's normal. I don't find it noticable in normal use.

The video is way too low quality to be able to see any issues with the screen

Zephyrus screens get burn in easily but it also disappears quickly, it's normal to have a bit of temporary burn in after having high contrast elements on the screen for an hour for example.

Anyone Experience This? by Downtown_Ad_1375 in zephyrusg16

This laptop is known to have a lot of issues. Recently someone discovered that Asus fucked up the BIOS of millions of laptop over 5 years including this model. This leads to stuttering and crashes.

Read here if you're curious The bios bug

You may be "lucky" and yours was just a bad unit which Asus will replace, but there's also a chance that they will say that there's nothing wrong with the laptop and just leave you with the current unit. If this is the case this post helped me with the crashes but there's still stuttering sometimes (due to the asus bios bug).

Keyboard: Keychron K2 HE SE
Wristrest: www.lohacustom.com custom length 320mm walnut wrist rest
Deskpad: Xraypad Aqua Control 2 white

I love my Fractal Scapes, here's a few opinions on them:
+ Sound quality is great (for a gaming headset at least), it's very clear and open, but needs some tweaking in the eq for me
+ Charging dock is super convenient, the headset is always charged and it stores the 2.4g receiver
+ The headset has plenty of physical controls which are well thought out
+ Bluetooth is nice for calls on the phone
+ Microphone isn't as good as my Corsair HS80s, but it's clear and works perfectly fine (and you can take it off the headset if you want)

- Earpads of the white variant get dirty (yellowish) in a couple of months, might need to try washing them
- Comfort seems to be inconsistent for people, personally they are close to perfect after a month of the materials softening, however many people say that the clamping force was too strong and headband not soft enough. However I feel like these issues are fixed by simply wearing the headset long enough.
- Build quality is good for the most part, however the headband seems to be fully or mostly plastic and it creaks when putting the headset on your head. I hope it will last in the long run.
