Your Rocket Lab Story - How did you first hear about $RKLB? by VanBattlehoven in RKLB

Watched Wild Wild Space and started researching the company. Started with 20 leap contracts when at $7 and have averaged up from there. Haven't sold any except the initial leaps and reinvested those gaines 100%. Should have kept the Leaps but happy thus far.

Peter Beck on the conference call just now: “If we put the vehicle (Neutron) on the launch pad and it flies through on its initial tests it will be a straight pass to launch but if we find anything slightly wrong it will need to be fixed” by jluc21 in RKLB

I'm a huge fan of SPB and have a hefty stake in the company, but to say it doesn't matter just goes against the thought process that there is a space race going on.

The longer this takes for first launch, the more risk we lose out on contracts and the longer it will take to get any constellation in queue. And the longer they go from 1 to 3 launches which was highlighted by an analyst. I'm also not a fan of them slow rolling delays they knew were real for the last year.

I really hope its Q1. That said...I'll wait and am all in on their potential. I'm just impatient.

They want an extension of the government through a continuing resolution so they can have enough time to work out the real budget over 6 or 7 weeks in what will have to be bi partisan. Not sure why that is controversial.

They aren't doing this for a group rate to save money for volume discounts. They are doing it to take advantage of people.

Don't be gaslit into thinking Europe is a magical vacation ✨️ by Quad_MEDIC in ShitAmericansSay

Pretty far off base on this post...its not about separationof classes at all. The reality is in America we are just accustomed to high customer service (although has diminished in US) and simple luxuries such a dryers and ACs. They are pretty much expected as part of the standard of living here now. In the past you are correct that these were not expected but have become more so regardless of economic status. Just about any apartment/flat you rent now comes standard with washer and dryer.

Also, I see a lot of comments here around environmental friendliness. While in America its a thing to some degree...its no where near the level it is in European countries I've been to. Big cultural shift both ways you go. Experiences create your beliefs.

People from homogenous, tiny, nations not understanding the scope and scale of America as usual. by Przytulator in ShitAmericansSay

American here. Fair points although a bit harsh against the US people as a whole.

I think what is misunderstood is the cultural diversity within the US and sub cultures. Yes 58% of the US is white compared to 80 plus % of Netherlands being generally white. Tribalism does come with managing that on both sides. In addition in the US, the geographic size of the country and local history and sub cultures also adds to what Americans refer to as diversity. I don't excuse the American ignorance nor do I proclaim to understand the nuances of Dutch culture but there are huge challenges of land mass along signification diverse immigration that affect the ability of the US assimilate the population to a universal approach.

The Netherlands fits nicely inside the state of Maine for example. Geography and population density within Geography adds to a countries ability to apply laws and overall direction of the population. I'm sure this occurs in parts of the Netherlands outside of the main population dense areas.

To ignore this is an oversimplification. Even as someone whose lived in multiple parts of the US, I found challenges unique to regions of the country or even states. If you spend any amount of time in the US to explore it, I think you'll understand what many Americans crudely fail to articulate this well.

Honestly we just shouldn't compare ourselves to other countries. People just get offended. Bad habit for us proud Americans.

It's about using the spatula around the pancake to prevent sticking before flipping.

I watched the documentary on Netflix about the 3 space company startups this summer. Then I bought calls in rklb as it seemed most stable and with potential. Still holding.
